It is Friday and AEW Rampage was recorded after Dynamite at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
Our commentary team is Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Matt Menard.
The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Champions) and Jack Perry vs Private Party (Quen and Zay) and Katsuyori Shibata
Shibata calls for Perry and Parry obliges him. Shibata quickly takes Perry down and goes for the jugi gitame, and Perry gets to the ropes. Perry tags in Nick and holds Shibata for Nick to lay in stomps. They try for a double clothesline, but Shibata spears Perry and beats him down, but Nick and Perry turn the tables. Perry leaves the ring and Shibata gets in a series of big blows before tagging in Quen, who tags in Zay and they double-team.
Zay covers Nick and Perry breaks up the pin and it’s time for Private Party to dive onto the Bucks. Nick rolls into the ring and Zay works over Nick in the corner. Zay keeps working over Nick until Matt trips him. The match breaks down with everyone fighting in and around the ring. The Bucks and Perry take control of the fight as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Zay has been the babyface in peril and the Bucks and Perry work him over, but Zay gets a double arm drag on the Buck and dumps Perry to the outside, but Perry pulls Shibata off the apron to prevent the tag. The Bucks go back to double-teaming Zay. Zay is able to DDT both Bucks at the same time and calls to the corner to tag in Quen.
Quen cleans house, ending with a big cross body dive on Nick for two. Quen goes to the top again and Perry sweeps his legs, allowing Nick to go to the top and hit a falcon arrow from the top for two. Perry tags in Quen is able to get a leaping kick and Shibata is tagged in. He beats down Perry in the middle of the ring, in the corner. Private Party gets in the ring as Perry is whipped to the corner and Quen catapults off Zay for a kick. Shibata covers Perry for two.
Shibata gets a rollup for two and then hits the PK kick for two with Matt breaking it up. Quen is tagged, but the Bucks pull him off the apron. The Bucks have a superkick party, but Quen hits the top rope and hits him with a stomp into a power bomb for two. Perry tags back in and charges at Quen, but Zay cuts him off with a destroyer. Shibata gets a drop-kick in the corner and Perry is hit with Gin and Juice for two, the Bucks breaking it up.
Perry is pulled to the corner for Matt. Matt blocks the silly string with a Northern Lights suplex and they set for a TK driver, but Zay pulls Nick off the apron, allowing Quen to get a rollup for the pin and the win. We see Stokely Hathaway cheering for the Private Party in the back.
Winners:Private Party (Quen and Zay) and Katsuyori Shibata
In the back, Renee Paquette is with Kris Statlander, who says she is on her own again, and she is confronted by Kamille and tells her to watch her match tonight. Mercedes Mone then says “That’s right, bitch.”
Renee is with Harley Cameron, and Harley says that Saraya is incapacitated after her loss and will take no further questions. She then says she will beat Queen Aminata.
Kamille w/Mercedes Mone vs The already in the ring, Zoey Lynn
Kamille obliterates Zoey and Excalibur doesn’t even know what to call her finisher, which is a modified DDT.
Winner: Kamille
In the back, Renee is with Anna Jay and says Will Ospreay praised her match. She says having Ospreay seeing her hard work paying off is amazing. She says if anyone in the women’s locker room doesn’t see it, step up.
We get a pre-taped promo from Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie. Deonna says that Taya has learned from her misstep and the people who want respect need to show respect or get respect beaten into them.
Harley Cameron vs Queen Aminata
Harley starts with a knee strike but when they move to waistlocks and Aminata slams Harley. They move to arm bars and Harley gets an insigiri and Aminata gets a snap mare and then hits a running kick. She then hits a hard kick in the corner and sits on Harley’s head as we go to picture in picture.
When we come back to full screen, Harley is getting hammer and anvil elbows followed by a running knee strike for two. Harley charges into the corner and Aminata lifts Harley over the top to the apron. Harley pulls Aminata into the ropes and kicks her to the floor. Aminata sweeps Harley’s leg and tosses her back into the ring. Aminata drops Harley with a double chop and then a snap suplex followed by a lariat for two.
Harley dodges a running kick in the corner and hits a series of shoulder thrusts. Aminata dodges the next charge and goes for an air raid crash, but Harley reverses it into a rollup for two. Aminata gets a backbreaker after blocking a tejaris and follows with the queens’ crown for the pin and the win.
Winner: Queen Aminata
Serena Deeb attacks Aminata from behind and then slams Aminata’s leg on the apron before locking on a knee bar in the ropes. Britt Baker comes to the ring with a chair for the save and Deeb bails.
We then get the Acclaimed with Renee, and Max says he is fine with the changes MxM collective made to his jacket. They then say they will shut them up if they are ever in the ring with them.
Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly vs Big Bill and Bryan Keith
Chris Jericho joins commentary and Matt Menard is SO happy about that.
Bill starts with Cassidy by mocking Cassidy and Cassidy goes for a sunset flip, but Bill is able to pull him up and toss him into the ropes. Cassidy rolls to the floor, which gives Excalibur time to run down the card for WrestleDream. Cassidy gets into the ring when Bill holds the ropes open for him and lays down in the middle of the ring. When Bill starts toward him, Cassidy rolls to the floor. When Bill chases him Cassidy hits the ring and tags in Kyle, who lies on the mat and then rolls to the floor.
Bill is frustrated and when Keith tags in, Kyle gets into the ring and they move to mat wrestling. Kieth gives a big slap and Keith goes to the floor. Kyle follows him and Bill goes for a chokeslam. Cassidy gets in a kick from the apron to free Kyle, and then dives into Bill as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Cassidy and Kyle are double-teaming Keith, who is finally able to tag in Bill. Cassidy and Kyle are in opposite corners and Bill hits splashes on each of them. He hits Cassidy with a spinning slam. Keith is tagged in for the two count on Cassidy. Bill then tosses Kyle into Keith’s knee. Cassidy escapes a Tiger Driver, but Keith nails him with a kick.
Keith hits a running kick into Cassidy in the corner and then goes to the top for a Diamond Dust. Cassidy escapes and Bill charges at Cassidy and misses, hitting the turnbuckle. Bill grabs Cassidy while Cassidy goes for the spinning DDT, and Kyle kicks one leg to bring Bill to his knees and then grabs Cassidy as he comes off the ropes so that Cassidy is able to get the DDT.
Cool sequence.
Kyle gets a running knee and Bill rolls to the floor. Cassidy gets a spinning DDT on Keith when Keith takes out Kyle. Keith fights off Cassidy and Kyle and hits an avalanche Exploder of Cassidy. Keith and Kyle trade forearms and kicks. Kyle grabs an ankle lock and Jericho runs to the ring and gets on the apron, distracting the ref as Keith taps. Rocky Romero pulls Jericho off the apron and Bill takes out Rocky.
Kyle gets a kick from the apron on Bill and Cassidy this a dive. They return the ring and hit the High Low on Keith, allowing Kyle to get the pin and the win.
Winners: Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly
