Sammy Guevara was knocked out during a match against Serpentico being taped for Ring of Honor before AEW Dynamite went on the air.
According to several fans in attendance, Serpentico came off the top but Guevara went to snatch him into a cutter. Somehow, the timing was a "little off" and Serpentico landed with Guevara's face under him and Guevara was immediately knocked unconscious.
Referee Bryce Remsberg immediately stopped the match and ruled Serpentico the winner.
AEW medical staff immediately attended to Guevara. One reader said it appeared they were enacting a concussion protocol.
Guevara was eventually stretchered from the ring.
