The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity will be staged in Milwaukee through October and in Fort Worth, Texas next month. The play, which was nominated for a 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, was first produced in Chicago in 2009 and had runs Off-Broadway and in a number of other markets. The production features a wrestling ring onstage as well as Titan-tron like screens for ring entrance videos, but is more focused on the backstage aspects of the business. A number of names that will be familiar to hardcore fans are name-dropped in the dialogue but one doesn't need to be a wrestling fan to understand or appreciate the drama of the story. If you get the chance, I absolutely suggest seeing the show.
Stonecutter Wrestling announced the following:
WRESTLING ICONS: KING KONG BUNDY & VAMPIRO – MATT MONSTERS IN SEPTEMBER ON PAY-PER-VIEW AND ON DEMAND!
King Kong Bundy was a trash talking monstrosity who went toe-to-toe with some of the biggest wrestlers of all time, names like Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant. He took down opponents faster than the refs could count. Vampiro was a tag team beast, winning championships across the North American continent. He bested foes with a frightening intensity from Lucha Libre to WCW. They were two of the scariest fighters to enter the ring, and their matches were the stuff of legend. And now you can see the classic bouts of these two all-time greats on WRESTLING ICONS!
Every month you can see a new show focused on the greatest wrestling stars of all time on WRESTLING ICONS, and you can order the shows on pay-per-view or on demand. In addition to KING KONG BUNDY & VAMPIRO – MATT MONSTERS, be sure to check out DICK THE BRUISER & DA CRUSHER – TOUGH GUYS, still available on pay-per-view and on demand.
