The National Wrestling Alliance ran Glendale, Queens at The Sacred Heart Catholic Academy, a fusndraising event for the school in the promotion's first-ever NYC event since Billy Corgan took over ownership of the promotion. The show drew a sellout of 300+ at the school, which was a sellout. Bryan Idol, the NWA's national promotion, was behind the show and his FTW promotion has run the venue before. We are told the show had a great atmosphere with a lot of kids going nuts for the babyfaces and even lots of "NWA" chants.
Stephen DeAngelis was the ring announcer. Kevin Gill was something of an emcee, warming up the crowd. Homicide was backstage.
Before the show, the school's Pastor said a prayer in the ring.
Results:
*South Philly's Finest defeated Skull & Bones.
*Papadon defeated Steve Pena.
*The Slime Ballz came out. Aron Stevens came out and they went back and forth, setting up a tag team match. The Slimeballz defeated Stevens and Wrecking Ball Legursky
*Joe Ocasio defeated Anthony Cantena.
*Flex Havoc & Rage defeated The Rock Star & Sydney Porter.
*Hunter Drake defeated Fox Vinyer.
*NWA Women's Champion Kenzie Paige with Kylie Paige defeated Natalia Markova. Paige refused to defend the title. The ref ruled for a DQ after outside The Paiges double-teamed her.
*Bryan Idol came out and brought out NWA Champion Thom Latimer, saying this is a special night and asked him to defend the NWA Championship against him. Latimer agreed and retained the belt.
Tiffany Nieves and NWA Midwest Champion Pretty Boy Smooth did not appear. There were a lot of talents who dealt with the Hurricane Helene storm just to get to NYC.
The promotion is running tonight in Melville, Long Island.
