Deadline.com reported this afternoon that John Cena has signed to star in a new film based on the classic Matchbox automobile toys.
The film will be Directed by Sam Hargrave and has already been picked up by Apple Original Films.
There is no word when the film will go into production. Cena is currently filming Peacemaker Season Two and is slated to make in the area of 35 appearances for WWE next year as part of his retirement tour.
