With the announcement this afternoon of WWE broadcasting a live Saturday Night's Main Event special on Saturday 12/14 from New York's Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island, we've had NYC-area readers ask what this meant for the annual post-Christmas WWE show at Madison Square Garden, which has been held on 12/26 for decades and is seen locally as a major tradition for fans.
In asking around, we are told that the 12/26 MSG live event is currently scheduled and will be announced in due time. The Nassau Coliseum TV special is not replacing the 12/26 event in the New York market.
So, there will be two big events in the New York area in December, as opposed to the one usual live event.
