Sareee Bomb challenges Sukeban World Champion Commander Nakajima in the main event of a five match card
(London, U.K. – September 16, 2024) – Sukeban, the Japanese female wrestling league, today announced that its London premiere will take place at the historic York Hall in London on October 10th at 8pm GMT.
Tickets are on sale now at sukeban.com/london.
The London event follows Sukeban’s sold-out fights in New York, Miami, and most recently Los Angeles, where Commander Nakajima successfully defended the Sukeban World Championship against Crush Yuu in front of a crowd of 2,200 fans and another 3 million watching live on TikTok.
In London, Sareee Bomb will challenge Commander Nakajima in the main event for the championship belt designed by Marc Newson.
Sukeban ring announcer Kunichi Nomura will return for the five-fight card, and be joined by the league’s legendary Commissioner Bull Nakano.
Pat McGrath will create new makeup looks for the competing wrestlers, while the London brand Aries will release special limited edition merchandise at the fight.
Artists Hizgi and Saitemiss have developed new manga illustrations to build the storylines ahead of the event.
The full card for the event includes:
Sukeban World Championship Match
Commander Nakajima vs. Sareee Bomb
The undefeated champion Commander Nakajima takes on an unstoppable challenger in Sareee Bomb of the Cherry Bomb Girls. The Commander may have retired from competition in Japan, but she’s coming to London to continue her reign of terror and keep the championship belt around her waist. Can Sareee Bomb weather the onslaught of the Sukeban World Champion and the Dangerous Liaisons?
Gang Warfare
Rina Yamashita vs. Midnight Player vs. Babyface
The Cherry Bomb Girls, Vandals, and Harajuku Stars collide in a three-way match up, as Rina Yamashita steps into the ring with Midnight Player and Babyface. Will her experience in chaotic encounters prove to be Yamashita’s advantage? Will the furious and frustrated Midnight Player make a powerful statement with her first singles win? Or will Babyface take London by storm with a hard-fought victory?
Harajuku Stars vs. Vandals
Saki Bimi, Maya Mamushi vs. BINGO, Atomic Banshee
The Harajuku Stars are on a roll following a huge victory over The Dangerous Liaisons in Los Angeles, but they’ll have to change their game plan when they come face to face with the Vandals — including the returning BINGO, who hasn’t been seen in action in Sukeban since last year. The unpredictable Vandals just may give The Harajuku Stars more than they can handle.
Special Singles Match
Stray Cat vs. Ichigo Sayaka
For the first time since Sukeban's Miami event, Ichigo Sayaka returns to action to take on the mysterious loner, Stray Cat. While Stray Cat has forged some friends and enemies within Sukeban, she has yet to form any permanent alliances. Her bout with Ichigo Sayaka promises to kick off a relationship with the Harajuku Stars, for better or worse.
Tag Team Grudge Match
X, King Konami vs. Crush Yuu, Supersonic
When the Dangerous Liaisons interfered to cost Crush Yuu her chance at the Sukeban World Championship in Los Angeles, the Cherry Bomb Girls took major exception and a post-match brawl led to a melee featuring all of the rival Sukeban gangs. The Cherry Bomb Girls are out for revenge, but Commander Nakajima has upped the ante in a major way, hand-picking the newest member of the Dangerous Liaisons. But who will it be?
