Before my question let me preface by saying I do not like Logan Paul the person, never will. Re: Nash saying Paul isn't one of the boys because he's making a boatload of money and not doing house shows...How many house shows was Nash doing in WCW when he was making millions?
Nash was in a position to get a dates clause in his contract, no different than Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar. But, he also paid his dues in the WWF before going to WCW. To me, the point in what Nash was saying was that he paid his dues before he got the cherry deal and Paul has not. Of course, Paul is in a much different position than Nash was, so that allowed him to get the deal that he has. I think it was a bad look for Paul to respond the way that he did, but he doesn’t care what I think.
Follow up, and a bit deeper of a question...With the structure of WWE having changed recently, does it even matter to be "One of the boys" like it did several years ago? It seems like a more professional setting and the backstage groups or cliques don't seem as big as they once were?
I look at being “one of the boys” like being a good teammate on a sports team. Personally, I prefer team players so to me, it would matter for sure. It’s a lot more fun to go to work with people you like and care about than to be an isolationist.
So Moxley, not Tony Khan, announces that Danielson can't participate at Grand Slam and will challenge Darby for his contract for a World Title match. Then Nigel decides to challenge Danielson, who I guess is now magically ok to compete at Grand Slam? If you are Darby wouldn't you immediately go to Tony and say, “I don't want the Moxley match anymore cuz Danielson is healed!”? Also why would Darby just say ok, I'll put my contract up in a match that Moxley has nothing to put up? None of this makes any sense at all.
No, not it sure does not. Tony Khan is a terrible, terrible booker. And the character of Bryan Danielson on the show? He’s an idiot. Mox tried to kill him. He should want revenge. And yet…..that’s why Tony Khan is a terrible booker in a nutshell.
Attempted murder, arson. assault with a hypodermic needle. Who can take any of this seriously?
Tony Khan and some of his sickos, but not all. When the fans were chanting “This is Murder” it tells you how badly you are booking your product. Sadly, Tony will probably once again turn a deaf ear to it because he likes it. Being born to a rich father has it’s perks.
Should Tony Khan pay the rights fees for The Talking Heads’ “Burning Down The House” and make it Adam Page’s new entrance music?
Why not!
