SMACKDOWN REMAINING ON FRIDAY, DIXIE CARTER IN AEW?, BEST TAG TEAM TO NEVER WIN A WORLD TITLE, TNA NOT TAKING PART IN UNIVERSAL'S HALLOWEEN HORRORS AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2024-08-31 10:00:00

Are you surprised that Smackdown is sticking with Fridays night when it moves to USA Network? Don't you think that'll be tough considering Friday night still has a reputation of being the death slot on television. It made sense for Fox but I expect the usual rating will be cut in half by the time it moves.

Not at all.  It allows USA Network to now have two hours of live programming to try and make viewers tune in.  The very nature of the series is exactly what a programmer wants on a "death slot" night.

What has happened to WWEShop?  The designs are awful compared to the past and it takes three times as long to get items shipped.  What happened?

WWE no longer operates it.  They sold the rights to that store to Fanatics, so the designs and fulfillment are done through them, not WWE themselves anymore.

Who were the best tag team to never win a World Tag Team Championship?

This is always subjective, but to me, I'd go with The Fantastics, Bobby Fulton and Tommy Rogers.

Whatever happened to Matt Morgan?

He retired to move into the political world in Florida.

How come in the entire time TNA was at Universal Studios, they never hosted a Halloween themed live event as part of the Halloween Horror Nights events?  It seems like it should have happened given Sting, Abyss, Jim Mitchell, etc. as part of the promotion at different times.

TNA actually wouldn't tape when that event was ongoing.  The Soundstages they would use would often be converted into walk-through haunted attractions.  I really like the idea of a short wrestling show with the likes of Chucky, Freddy Krueger, etc. battling it out on Universal property though!

Any chance of Dixie Carter on camera for AEW?

I guess there is always a chance, but I really don't see it, especially in the role of a powerbroker in the company.  She is pretty busy working as an exec for the Carter family's Panda Biotech company as they have moved into the hemp industry after moving on from the energy field.
