A representative for WWE Hall of Famer Nikki "Bella" Garcia issued the following statement to numerous publications after yesterday's arrest of Garcia's husband Artem Chingvintsev:
“This is a private matter, and Nikki asks for privacy for her and her family at this time.”
Chingvintsev was booked into the Napa Valley Jail at 9:59 AM yesterday morning under California Penal Code Section 273.5(a), which notes, is is "illegal to injure a spouse, cohabitant or fellow parent in an act of domestic violence. This offense is also referred to as domestic abuse, domestic violence, or corporal injury to a spouse." He has since been bailed out.
While specific details of the incident are not currently known, but Nikki was also in the same area Artem was arrested based on her social media. TMZ reported that Chingvintsev called 911 concerned about someone's injuries but then rescinded the call. While the Fire Department and EMTS were called off, police still responded to the scene and based on the scene, an automatic arrest was trigged. TMZ has also reported the authorities are still speaking with the alleged victim, who requested complete secrecy.
