If you’re the booker this weekend and beyond do you have Ospreay win title in The UK and then lose it in Chicago or have MJF win in England then lose in Chicago, or have Ospreay win in England and both wrestlers move on from each other in Chicago?
If I am the booker, I fire myself. And I am not even kidding. But since you asked, I have Ospreay win in the UK because that’s what the fans want and it makes sense. I am not a fan of flipping Titles quickly so I leave it on Will and create a diversion to take MJF in another direction. They can circle back to that later.
If Joe Hendry shares a ring with Roman Reigns would the Belief and Acknowledgement together be too much for the world to take and thus cause an apocalyptic event?
No, it would not.
Is there nobody in wrestling more capable of finding new ways to embarrass themselves and wreck their legacy than Hulk Hogan? You think that he finds the ceiling, but then he inevitably surprises everyone.
I think you really have to put your mind to it if you want to outdo Hogan in this arena, brother!
Speaking of Hogan, I know that he ratted out Jesse Ventura over trying to start a union in the WWF. Were there any other attempts to unionize in wrestling?
There have been some over the years for sure but the nature of the business, where a lot of people didn’t trust their cohorts, always sabotaged the attempts.
I just listened to a clip of Jim Cornette discussing Dave Meltzer’s latest screwups. His cohost Brian Last mentioned some use their podcasts as a business model to attack Meltzer and mentioned Dave Scherer specifically. He said that Scherer has been jealous of Meltzer since the summer of 1995. I want Scherer to answer this because he has been rightfully critical of Meltzer for a long time. What supposedly happened in the summer if 1995?
Well, according to Brian Last he “sat next to” me at an ECW Arena show! That never, ever happened, of course. If anyone doubts me you can go to Peacock and watch the ECW Arena shows there. I sat with a very specific group of about 20 people where I was generally in the center. My friends surrounded me so there is no way Last would have ever sat next to me. Maybe he sat NEAR me, but he never sat next to me. Also, I have never met the guy. I have never held a conversation with the guy. I never even heard of him until he found his way onto Jim Cornette’s podcast, however he made that happen, so whatever he thinks he knows about me couldn’t be a bigger lie. As an Elite member, you know the real story. You know that I got into this business because I was not a friend of Dave Meltzer and more importantly I didn’t like the way that he covered the business. Anyone who has followed the history knows that. From what I have been told, Brian Last is a Dennis Coralluzzo guy from back in the day and his beef we me probably originates from there since a lot of fans were childish tribalists who had to hate ECW if they liked Dennis. 1995 was a peak year in the Dennis fans vs. ECW one-sided rivalry and since I covered ECW I guess that put me in Last’s crosshairs. The irony is that I got along with Dennis very well and in fact interviewed him for my newsletter. Elite members can read the interview by clicking here.
