It was announced this morning that groundbreaking broadcast journalist Phil Donohue, who pretty much created the standard daytime talk show format over the course of his career, passed away yesterday following a long illness. Donohue was 88 years old.
In 1992, Donohue hosted an episode on the WWF sex and steroid scandals of that time period, with Vince McMahon, Bruno Sammartino and more appearing:
