Wildkat Wrestling in New Orleans issued the following:
Statement from Wildkat Sports & Entertainment:
Due to the public nature of the incident that occurred between Luke and PJ Hawx at WildKat's recent event "WildKat: X-Rated," as well as the previous issues, WildKat Sports & Entertainment can no longer not acknowledge this growing issue. While we at WildKat Sports have hoped this personal between Co-Owner Luke Hawx and his son, PJ Hawx, could be resolved, that has proven to not be the case.
While PJ Hawx is still under suspension from activity with WildKat Sports due to his previous actions, at the request of Luke, we permitted him a public forum to speak about his issues at our latest event. Unfortunately, PJ Hawx decided to incite yet another physical altercation, which led to several other people's involvement. WildKat does not condone the actions of PJ Hawx, and we apologize for the momentary chaos.
Luke Hawx has responded to the incident via his social media:
"The first time time he tested me, he was 13 years old. The second time, he was 19... The 3rd time was last weekend, he's now 25 going on 26.
I provoked him by saying some things out of anger in rebuttal to some of the bs that he had to say. What I said, was strictly because I lost my kool when I thought I had it under control. I had no plans this past Saturday other than to let him speak his mind. He knows how to push my buttons and I shouldn't have spoken. Once he made it physical,I kept my kool when it mattered.
Whether or not Perry planned on hitting me or he did it out of anger... He did it! I'm 43 years old and I can promise you, if this was 10 years ago, I would not have had the self control or discipline to not tear everything in my path up!
I contemplated posting this video since we haven't shared anything publicly other than addressing the previous situations. I know some are going to message me with concerns and saying I should keep this private but realistically...... this isn't private! It happened at WildKat Sports originally, and majority of our issues stem from differences in wrestling/Wildkat & our personal choices. I believe he crossed the line previously but I never thought he would take it this far. Even if I wanted to react, the truth is, my body hasn't even recovered enough for me to......I guess that's a good thing!"
We have asked & received permission from Luke to publicly share this altercation from this past weekend's X-RATED event, which you can find on WildKat's social media. Previously, we respected the privacy of both Luke & PJ and their personal animosity towards each other. However, as Luke has stated, these altercations have happened publicly at multiple WildKat events.
If repercussions are deemed appropriate to proceed, they shall be respectfully decided by Luke, but with discussion and agreeance between all four owners of our company. Though this happened at WildKat, our goal is to let both sides handle their issues internally as much as possible.
