TOP WWE STAR DOES NOT APPEAR AS PLANNED AT MIKE TYSON VS. JAKE PAUL PRESS CONFERENCE TODAY, MIKE FACES OFF WITH LOGAN & MORE FANATICSFEST NOTES FROM NYC

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was slated to appear and ask a question at today's press conference for this November's Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight on Netflix, according to a press sheet given out to media at today's Fanaticsfest.  He was not there.  There's no word as to why Rhodes didn't appear but there were absolutely media wondering because of the WWE-Netflix relationship with Raw debuting this January.  The story that made the rounds is that Fanatics' head Michael Rubin had personally asked Rhodes to appear for the segment, but for whatever reason, it didn't happen.

Jake Paul's helicopter arrived about an hour late for the conference.

Mike Tyson filmed an appearance on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast today at the event.

As we noted earlier in the day, there were a lot of photos and autograph sessions for WWE talents that were oversold as fans who were on line waiting instead had to receive refunds as scheduled sessions ran over and talents were pulled for other planned events, including on stage appearances or, in the case of Cody Rhodes, having to travel back to Florida for tonight's WWE event.  This wasn't on WWE as it wasn't their produced event, but Fanaticsfest itself.  We have heard of WWE talents leaving to do other things that were asked of them and then returning to continue signing and doing photos.  Hopefully the process gets smoothed out for future events.

A number of top WWE execs were at the event over the course of the weekend including Paul Levesque, Nick Khan and Chris Legentill.
