Heels showrunner Mike O'Malley told Entertainment Weekly that Heels finally coming to Netflix this September could lead to a third season of the excellent pro wrestling series.
"To a person, every single person involved in this show wants to make more Heels," O'Malley commented. "The success of Suits: LA will just drive more people to watching Stephen’s work on Netflix. It doesn’t take that long to make a season of Heels. It’s very labor intensive, but there are windows of time during hiatuses to make more."
"Netflix is very practical," O'Malley noted. "If a lot of people watch the show, then there’s a real chance that we can make more. And if people don’t, there’s no reason to make more... The acting performances are so authentic and so genuine by every actor in this series, and I am thrilled that this platform will allow more people see those performances."
