I was delighted to see Roman Reigns return at SummerSlam; no matter how frequently we see him, he just excludes a superstar aura… and he now may be the tippy top babyface the company has wanted him to be for so long. But how long will it be before the whining starts online that a man who was given a part-time contract by WWE is working a part-time schedule for WWE? A month?
They probably already have, I wouldn’t know. I literally couldn’t care less what people who don’t understand the business, or a lot of things, have to say. They are the same kinds of people who were saying 5 years ago that AEW would pass WWE. They have a right to their opinions but they are ignorant so I don’t care what they say.
How would you feel about a match between Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio? Rhea has been booked like a badass who can throw around smaller guys and Dom is WWE’s biggest weasel. If any mixed match could work, it would be those 2, especially if it’s Rhea beating the brakes off Dom for five minutes between bells.
I don’t like women vs. men matches, even in this case. Now a mixed tag with Dom and Liv vs. Rhea and Priest? Oh yeah, let’s do that in Germany. Rhea can get some shots in on Dom that way.
How do you feel about Michael Cole excoriating Dominik Mysterio on commentary? “Dummy Dom, two timing SOB, etc” Pat McAfee Roasts Dom too, but he sounds like he’s having fun. Michael Cole comes off like he LOATHES Dom. I love it, but how about you?
It’s awesome. It’s what Cole should do. Dom has been a scumbag in the storylines and babyface Cole should rip him to shreds. It’s great.
With Jacob Fatu possibly hurt bad, should WWE bring in Hikuleo in sooner to take his place? The attraction of a Samoan Giant seems like a decent enough substitute for Samoan Freak of Nature like Jacob.
First let me say I have no facts to back this up. I want to make that clear. This is just my opinion. My gut instinct is that Fatu is not hurt at all. The booking in WWE is so good now that they look ahead when they do things. If Fatu is healthy, he HAS to take out Roman Reigns when he showed up at SummerSlam. It would have been he and Solo against Reigns since KO and Randy Orton took the Tongans out of the picture. The same goes for Smackdown, if Fatu is there, he has to attack Roman and then what do we have? A mess. Instead, he wasn’t there and Reigns got to get over on Solo twice, which is what is needed in the storyline to build to the future. At this point of the story it’s about Roman making his return known. They don’t need anyone else to join Solo right now. They could always book 3 on 1 if that is what they wanted to accomplish.
Let’s pretend there’s a nightmare scenario that Vince Russo gets his hands on CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre. Yes, I know, take five minutes to laugh at the absurdity of the scenario. Now, what if the feud leads to Drew McIntyre kidnapping CM Punk’s dog Larry and the blowoff match is Punk vs Drew, kennel from hell 2, with Larry on the floor between the cages. I’m not asking if this is a good idea, I’m asking if this sounds like a RUSSO idea.
It’s a terrible idea so of course Russo would do it. Of course, Punk and Drew wouldn’t.
