WHERE WOULD AEW TALENTS GO IN WWE, THE RETURN OF PYRO, TICKET PRICES AND MORE

It’s cool for TKO that they’ve increased gate revenue and setting records, but do you foresee a situation happening in a few years time where they are milking the ticket prices so much to the point where the real fans can’t actually afford to even attend? I’m thinking of some of the Saudi Arabian events where some of the crowd are completely disinterested. Do you think this will negatively impact the product? The BBC posted a negative article about in the build up to Clash at the Castle.

I have talked about this on Elite audios many times now.  Yes, I think they have to be very careful in their pricing.  They already are pricing some people out of being able to go to events, and that’s sad.  But it’s not just them doing it. A lot of concerts, sports games, Broadway, etc. are too expensive for some people.  Luckily for them, they are hot right now.  If things cool off, they may have to adjust their pricing.

Following up on the TKO Second Quarter 2024 Call statement from Ben : "Ben from Morgan Stanley asked about production costs for WWE being down while revenues were up ... On the production side, they have been successful in taking expenses out of the production. They have created efficiencies there. They've been able to reduce some production elements and make the show smaller without hurting the presentation of the show (think smaller staging, more seats)."  Question: Knowing the lowered production cost leading to less pyro. Will we ever see them move the budget up a bit to re-introduce more pyro? Or is this just a money saving tactic? It seems even the PLE's are not having as much pyro. Especially opening pyro.

Ever is a long time so I can’t say what will happen down the road but for now, I don’t see them adding what they deem as unnecessary expenses.  Pyro is cool and all but is it needed?  They don’t think so, at least not at this time.

My question is, with rumors of Ricky Starks and the Lucha Bros leaving AEW when their contracts are up, how come Tony Khan aren’t using them to get other people over? Can they just say no, they don’t want to do any jobs on the way out?

I can’t ever explain Tony Khan’s booking because it almost always makes no sense to me.  If I were running AEW, yes, I would have gotten something out of those talents before they left.  But Tony’s booking mind is nothing like mine.

Hi there, you guys recently reported that WWE had interest in The Lucha Brothers, Daniel Garcia, and Ricky Starks. I have two questions:

1) Which stars do you think can find success in WWE? Do you think any of the four would be better off in AEW?

Of those four, Ricky Starks seems to be the surest bet to me.  In my opinion, The Lucha Brothers are a novelty act and they will need to learn to work in the WWE system if they are to have any success.  There is potential in Garcia but I think he would need a good bit of time in NXT first.

2) Supposing all four jump ship, which brand do you think is best for each? I'd like them all on NXT, but Daniel Garcia especially needs it I think.

The only one of them that is close to main roster ready, in my view, is Starks.  The other three need to be in NXT to learn and be deprogrammed from what they did in AEW.
