It is Friday and AEW Rampage was recorded after Dynamite on Wednesday at the LJVM Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Matt Menard.
Butcher vs Darby Allin
Darby charges right into a big boot. Butcher just slams Darby into the ropes and then then works him over in the corners and Darby is already bleeding from the mouth.
Remember, Don’t do what Darby do.
Darby rolls to the floor and when Butcher gets on the apron, Darby pulls his leg out from under him, trapping it in the ring skirt. Butcher then grabs Darby and shoves him backwards into the steel steps. Butcher puts a foot on Darby’s head and then shoves him into the barricade. When he gets up, Butcher charges at him, but Darby dodges it. Darby goes to the top for a coffin drop to the floor.
When Butcher gets in the ring, Darby stomps on his hand and then jumps on his back for blows. Darby goes to the top for a cross body and literally bounces off Butcher. Darby also has a cut or wound on his forehead. Butcher whips him into the corner and Darby falls to the floor as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Darby misses a drop kick from the top and Butcher puts Darby in a cloverleaf. Darby tries to crawl for the ropes, and Butcher pulls him back, swings him up and power bombs him for two.
That was an amazing show of strength.
Butcher lays in stomps, pulls Darby up and puts him on the top rope. Darby lays in slaps while on the ropes. Butcher slaps him down and Derby hits the apron and falls to the floor Butcher then swings Darby into the barricade. Butcher then power bombs Darby into the ring post. Darby rolls into the ring and when Butcher gets on the apron, Darby snaps his arm into the ropes and then dives on Butcher. Darby rolls Butcher into the ring and hits splashes on Butcher in the corner. On the third, Butcher grabs a sleeper on Darby. Butcher gets a half nelson backbreaker into a power bomb for two.
Butcher puts Darby on the top and lays in elbows. They trade slaps as Butcher climbs up to join Darby. Darby gets in a bite and rakes the back. Darby gets a Code Red from the top and follows with a coffin drop for the pin and the win.
Winner: Darby Allin.
We get video from Wednesday where Alicia Atout caught up with Rush and Don Callis after their loss. Don tells Rush that he lost while he was on commentary, and he needs to be willing toi do anything to win. His last chance is a match with Preston Vance on Collision. Rush says he can beat Vance. Callis says he doesn’t want him beat, he wants him hurt and sent to the hospital.
Wheeler Yuta vs Rocky Romero
Bryan Danielson joins commentary. Am I the only person who thinks he’ll join commentary once he retires from the ring?
They lock up and Rocky is finally able to force them into the ropes and they slowly break, with Rocky laying in a slap. Yuta fired back with a chop, a shoulder tackle and a two count. They grab a knuckle lock and work monkey flips with them and Rocky goes for a jugi gitame. Yuta grabs the ankles and grabs a rear chinlock. They go back to working the knuckle lock. They trade side headlock takeovers, and Yuta gets a suplex.
Yuta lays in chops until Rocky reverses and does the same. They run the ropes, and Rocky is able to get the reversal heel kick. Yuta tries for the rope rebound, but Rocky cuts him off with strikes. Yuta tries it again, and Rocky runs the ropes. Yuta tosses him to the floor and Yuta hits a dive as we go to picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, Rocky has a rear chinlock, and Yuta works to his feet. Rocky takes him back down. Yuta is able to turn and fight his way free. Yuta escapes a charge in the corner and gets a big chop on Rocky. Rocky gets a drop toehold into the corner and tries for the forever clotheslines, and Yuta pops out of the corner with a clothesline.
Both men are down and take until the 4 count to get up and throw hands. Yuta gets a Manhattan drop and a insigiri. Yuta tries to go for cattle mutilation, but Rocky blocks it. Yuta gets a spinning slam for two. Yuta goes to the top and Rocky meets him there. Rocky finally gets a hurricanrana from the second rope, followed by sliced bread for two. Rocky goes for sliced bread again, but Yuta blocks it and hits a cross legged pile driver. Yuta lays in the hammer and anvil elbows and follows with cattle mutilation for the pin and the win.

In the back, Renee Paquette is with Willow Nightingale and she says she is frustrated with Statalnder ever since she connected with Stokley Hathaway. From off comera, Tomohiro Ishii says he doesn’t like Hathaway either. Willow asks Renee to excuse her and she leaves, chatting with Ishii.
Private Party (Zay and Quen) vs The Already In The Ring Zane and Dave Dawson
The Dawsons are there for Private Party to do a Personality match, and the story of the match is Quen trying to scoop slam one of the Dawsons (who are big guys). He 9si able to do so after a bunch of tries. Private Party gets in their big moves and win the match with Gin and Juice on one partner onto the other.
Winners: Private Party
We then get a video to hype tomorrow’s Texas Bullrope Match between Thunder Rosa and Deonna Purrazzo.
Next is a promo from Dustin Rhodes who talks about how Sammy Guevaro helped him beat the Dark Order last night, and tomorrow, he wants the Ring of Honor World Tag Team titles. Michael Bennett and Matt Taven show up and say he doesn’t deserve anything. They have words, and Bennett gives Dustin a low kick after saying they are here to shatter his dreams.
Saraya w/Harley Cameron vs Nyla Rose
Saraya knocks Rose before the bell and then attacks her on the floor, tossing her into the steel steps. Rose crawls into the ring as the bell rings and Saraya lays in stomps. Rose is able to recover, and when Saraya jumps on her back, Rose shrugs her off. She whips Saraya into the corner and hits a scoop slam. Rose hits a second scoop slam. When she goes for a third, Saraya escapes out the back and drives Rose into the corner. They each lay in blows until Saraya rolls to the floor.
Rose teases a dive, but when she goes to the floor, Saraya wraps her in the ring apron and lays in blows as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Rose resists a whip to the ropes. Saraya tries for a sunset flip and Rose just drops onto her for a two. Rose gets a clothesline and a side slam, followed by a senton. She tries for a splash, but Saraya gets the knees up and then gets a running knee strike. She hits the Nightcap for two.
Saraya and Harley argue as Rose recovers and is able to block a suplex. Rose gets a quick toss and a front kick for two. Saraya tries a series of elbows, which just makes Rose mad. They clothesline each other down and are down as the ref counts. The ref gets to seven before Rose is up. She hits a chokeslam and Harvel gets on the apron to distract the ref. Rose then chases Harley outside the ring and Saraya tries to come up from behind. Rose drops her with one punch and then does the same to Harley.
Saraya gets a thrust kick and Rose rolls into the ring. Rose tries to bring Saraya into the ring the hard way, but Harley sweeps and holds Rose’s legs as Saraya falls on top of Rose for the pin and the win.
