AEW COLLISION REPORT

By Cory Strode on 2024-08-03 19:53:00

It is Saturday and AEW Collision was recorded at the Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington TX.

Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

Christian Cage comes to the ring with all of the Trio title belts, Nick Wayne, Killswitch, and Mother Wayne. Cage says he can’t wait to leave and get on his private plane, but he needs to tell the people that he kept his word and won the Trios Titles. He says that what he is wearing is a belt, but they are not belts, they are championships. He then says he will present the championships and puts over Nick as the youngest champion in AEW history. He then puts over Killswitch as the muscle and the man who does the dirty work when it needs to be done.

He then says that Killswitch did not give birth to a prodigy and gives the third championship belt to Mother Wayne. Killswitch puts a hand on Cage’s shoulder, but they are interrupted by music for the House of Black.

Malakai Black and Brody King come to the ring. Cage gets behind Nick, Killswitch and Mother Wayne and talks to them, calling Brody King Jellyroll.  He says they can’t challenge for the titles, because they aren’t a trio after he took out Buddy Wayne. He then heels Black and says he thinks he’s a bigger star than he thinks he is. He says Black showed up in the ring because he knows everything Cage touches turns to gold, and maybe he wants some fatherly advice.

His advice is that they took out the Bang Bang Gang with three against two, what were they thinking?

The lights go out and when they come back on, Buddy Matthews is with the House of Black, and the Patriarchy bails out of the ring.

The music for the Bang Bang Gang plays and Nick tries to take off through the crowd, but Kip Sabian tosses him back at ringside and the Bang Bang Gang tosses him into the ring. The House of Black takes Nick out with a triple attack in the corner.

The Bang Bang Gang and House of Black have words in the ring as Cage leaves through the crowd.

We then get a recap from Ring of Honor how Sammy Guevara came to Dustin Rhodes’s aid after he was attacked by The Dark Order.

In the back Lexi Nair is with Dustin Rhodes, Ross Von Erich and Marshall Von Eric. He puts over how they took it to the limit and they are Texas’s best, the Ring of Honor 6 man champions. After the Von Erich’s say that the Von Erich/Rhodes era has begun. Hologram stumbles to his corner and Mystico tags in and runs the ropes. He backflips from the ropes to avoid an attack from Nese, and then he and Hologram get a silly string into a tejaris on Nese. From here, all four men are in the ring and it’s time for high spots from Mystico and Hologram as we go to picture in picture.

Mystico gets a tejaris on Nese to get him out of the ring and then an arm drag after running up the ropes on Davari

Both men are down and Hologram pumps up the crowd for the hot tag, which he finally gets. Hologram runs wild. Nese is able to cut him off with a go behind shoulder slam and a two count, broken up by Mystico. Davari tosses Mystico and then tags in. Hologram goes back to his rapid attacks and when Mark Sterling gets on the apron, it distracts Hologram. Davari hits Hologram from behind and gets tossed out of the ring for it.  Hologram then hits a spear from the ring into Sterling on the floor.

Hologram runs into a thrust kick from Nese and Mystic hits a kick on nese to cut him off.  Mystico hits a tornado from the ring onto Nese and Davari on the floor, followed by Hologram hitting a dive from the top onto everyone on the floor.
