GUNTHER GEARS UP FOR SUMMERSLAM CLASH WITH FINN BALOR

By Kendall Jenkins on 2024-07-31 07:16:00

SummerSlam, the biggest party of the summer, will be returning on August 3 with an exciting lineup in store. Silo Sikoa will take on Cody Rhodes and CM Punk will fight Drew McIntyre.

However, the most anticipated aspect of the upcoming SummerSlam will be Damian Priest Vs. Gunther. To prepare for this Championship bout, Gunther has agreed to participate in a major match next week, mere days before the SummerSlam.

On July 29, Gunther will take on Finn Bálor, Damian Preist’s Irish ally, in the next episode of WWE Raw. This match will take place at the Xcel Energy Center in Minnesota and features a few additional surprises, including an appearance from Seth Rollins.

As this year’s summer wrestling season heats up, more wrestling fans are turning to betting sites to place money on who they think will come out victorious from the SummerSlam and upcoming WWE RAW episodes.

Grziella Calleja, an expert on the best Bitcoin sports books, states that more crypto betting sites are introducing niche sports to their platforms. So, you may be able to place prop and live bets on upcoming wrestling matches using cryptocurrency.

The most exciting event of next week’s WWE episode will definitely be Gunther Vs. Bálor. They’ve both had interesting and storied careers in WWE, with Gunther being the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion and Bálor being a two-time Intercontinental Champion.

Bálor has been part of WWE since 2014, while Gunther has been competing since 2019. Both have earned about the same amount of money from their professional careers, with Bálor’s net worth being $3 million, which is about the same as Gunthers’.

In the last six years, both players have come close to facing each other. However, these players are yet to step into the ring together - this will all change come next week.

Relationships between the two wrestlers have so far been positive. Earlier this month, Bálor stated that he believed Gunther to be the current “best performer on earth”. While Gunther has not reciprocated this praise, he hasn’t said anything negative about Bálor either. So, it’s safe to assume that the players have mutual respect for one another.

The meeting between these two international stars isn’t the only event of next week’s episode of RAW. In other news, Seth Rollins will make an appearance in a special pre-SummerSlam segment. In it, Rollins will be acting as the referee between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. He’ll be giving the players each a rundown of their upcoming match and reminding each other of their fierce rivalry.

Rollins has had issues in the past with both wrestlers, so his being there will add extra tension to this pre-SummerSlam meeting. This segment of the episode will definitely encourage some crypto gambling from the spectators.

In addition to this, there will also be a six-women tag-team match. Katana Chance, Lyra Valkyria, and Kayden Carter will be on one team, while Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville, and Zoey Stark will fight on the other team.

All of this will definitely put people in the mood for SummerSlam. The 2023 event reached a record-breaking viewership of 230 million views and this summer’s event may potentially break that record yet again.
