PWInsider.com has confirmed that Atrilleon "Trill" Williams, 24, who played football for the University of Syracuse, will be among the particapents in this week's WWE tryouts over Summerslam weekend in Cleveland. Williams played in 28 games for Syracuse and had 93 tackles, four interceptions, three forced fumbles and 3 1/2 tackles for loss in his three seasons. He opted out in 2020 to enter the NFL Draft and was signed with both the Miami Dolphins and The New Orleans Saint at different points. He never officially played for either team.
As PWInsider.com reported last week, Elijah Holyfield, the son of legendary Boxer Evander Holyfield, is set for the company's tryouts as well. Holyfield, 26, has played for the Philadelphia Eagles and the practice squads of the Carolina Panthers and The Cincinnati Bengals. His father, Evander Holyfield, once boxed Matt Hardy on an episode of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.
