JACK PERRY’S CHAIR SHOT TO THE HEAD, TONY KHAN BOOKING, DREW MAC’S ILLEGITIMATE SON AND MORE

After watching AEW these past few months, I've noticed the lack of inconsistent storylines. MJF returns, low kicks Adam Cole of The Undisputed Kingdom. Instead of feuding with Roderick Strong until Adam Cole is healthy, they just end the storyline. MJF is now a heel, at the same side of the Undisputed Kingdom. At Forbidden Door, The Ring of Honor WORLD Champion Mark Briscoe played second in a ladder Match for a secondary TNT Championship. In the process, the World Champion lost the match. The Ring of Honor WORLD Championship is not on the same level as the secondary AEW Championships. My question is, if a couch potato like me can see this, why not Tony Kahn? Why isn't anyone consulting with him on his booking? I enjoyed AEW as when it started it felt like a throwback WCW which I grew up on, but I am having trouble understanding why no one is speaking up to say ..."hey, this doesn't make sense!?"

You are preaching to the choir on this one.  Tony’s booking is so bad most of the time.  It’s not like people in AEW don’t know it, they just know that he lives to be a wrestling booker and he likes what he is putting out so they don’t want to bang their head against a wall trying to get through to him.  It’s a shame because the talent works hard but the storytelling is mostly awful.  It reminds me of when Vince McMahon was booking WWE over his last decade.

Regarding the “you’ll never guess who Drew McIntyre is hanging with” post and picture, I didn’t realize Drew had a pre-teen son! How often are kids allowed backstage?

OUCH!  Good one.  Now, imagine if Marko Stunt was in the picture too!

I have a few questions about the unprotected chair shot Perry took in Blood and Guts:

First let me say that Corey Graves was right on the money with the tweet he did on the subject, then later deleted.  Guys taking those kinds of shots?  When the best case scenario is that you get lucky, avoid brain damage and it only hurts?  That’s a pretty stupid spot to do.  Wrestlers today should be listening to people like Graves and Mick Foley.  Hell, even I was calling for an end to chair shots to the head almost 30 years ago when I saw the damage that they were doing in ECW.  But, dummies still do them.  Unreal.

Didn't it break the company rules that were made a couple years ago ?

I take all of the “company rules” with a grain of salt in AEW.  OK, a whole shaker of salt.

Didn't Tony Khan say there would be no more unprotected chair shots after Cody took one from Spears?

Probably but like the answer above, I take what Tony says with a shaker of salt as well.

It's reported by Dave and Bryan that the chair was gimmicked and shaved so how do gimmick or shave a chair that makes it ok to to do said spot?

I don’t listen to those two, and if what you said is an accurate accounting, you just gave a great example why.  Anyone with a brain that saw that spot knows it was dangerous as the impact it made was clear as day.  If they tried to say otherwise, well that would be par for the course with them.
