MEIKO SATOMURA PLANNING RETIREMENT

Tokyo Sports reported that Meiko Satomura is retiring from in-ring wrestling, with an official announcement expected in the near future.

They speculated with April 2025 marking the 30th anniversary of her debut, next spring would be the most likely time she will make her retirement. 

The outlet asked Satomura about her retirement after today's show in Osaka, and she neither confirmed nor denied it, only stating that "official details" will be announced in the near future. 

Satomura is working the current WWE Japan tour, which features two events in Tokyo tomorrow and Saturday:

Tomorrow will feature WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest vs. Jey Uso, a six woman tag with Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill and Meiko Satomura vs. Damage Control's IYO SKY, Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai with Asuka, Shinsuke Nakamura vs. LA Knight and more.

Saturday will feature WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. LA Knight vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest vs. Rey Mysterio, a six woman tag with Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill and Meiko Satomura vs. Damage Control's IYO SKY, Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai with Asuka and more.
