AEW COLLISION REPORT

By Cory Strode on 2024-07-20 22:20:00

It is Saturday and AEW Collision is live and is at the Esports Stadium Arlington that they will be using for a large number of shows this summer in Arlington TX.

Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

We have a new theme song, so I guess Saturday Night is no longer alright for fighting.

The arena does not look like the standard arena, with a fairly flat section with seats around the ring, and the Hard Camera is focused on the ring but looking at the stage.  It doesn't sound like a basketball arena and more of a sports hall. There’s also a distracting echo that they need to get fixed going forward because it makes the promos sound terrible.

It was an odd mix between studio wrestling and Daily’s Place with an audience.

Darby Allin vs The Beast Mortos

They lock up and break immediately. Darby goes for a waistcoat and Mortos tossed him aside. Mortos gets a side headlock and spins around, taking Darby down. They run the ropes and Mortos shoulder tackles him down. Darby is able to recover with a drop kick and a dive through the ropes. As they brawl outside the ring, Mortos slams Darby into the barricade.

Darby escapes another pickup and gets a rollup off the ropes for two. Darby lays in chops, and then tries a springboard coffin drop, but Mortos catches him.
