AEW RAMPAGE REPORT

By Cory Strode on 2024-07-20 00:00:00

It is Friday and this week’s Rampage was recorded after Dynamite Wednesday night at the Simmons Bank Arena in Little Rock AK.

The commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Matt Menard.

Undisputed Kingdom (Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett) vs The Conglomeration (Ishii, Kyle O’Reilly, and Orange Cassidy)

Strong and Kyle start off the match. They lock up and go into the ropes. They break and Strong grabs an arm bar and they move to waistlocks. They switch to headlocks with takedowns and mat wrestling. When they break, Cassidy and Taven tag in and they run the ropes. Cassidy gets a series of hip tosses. Taven is whipped into the corner and Ishii tags in. Taven escapes and Bennett tags in only to get dropped by Ishii. The Kingdom comes in and suffer the same fate.

Taven and Bennett try to suplex Ishii and they can’t get him up so they beat him down. We then see Cassidy and Kyle join in and they suplex Taven and Bennett as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Bennett has been beat up by the other team. Ishii is throwing chops at Taven and Bennett.  Strong grabs Ishii’s book, and it takes all three of the Kingdom to bring Ishii down. Strong tags in and gives Ishii a back breaker. He lays in chops in the corner on Ishii. Strong lays in right hands on Ishii and then tags in Taven. Taven keeps up the attack, and then knocks Cassidy off the apron. He stares at Kyle until Ishii grabs him for a German suplex.  Kyle is tagged in and he cleans house.

The tag team siren goes off and everyone in the ring fighting. The Conglomeration triple teams Bennett and then Taven. The Kingdom regroups and they triple team Ishii for two. Strong lays in blows on Ishii. Ishii fires up and lays in a series of strikes, ignores Strong’s and they both take big hits. Strong drops to the mat and Ishii staggers to his corner when Cassidy tags in.

Cassidy leaps over Taven and Bennett and when they charge him,he pulls down the top rope for them to tumble to the floor. He then dives onto both of them, but they catch him and slam him into the apron, then they barricade and we go to picture in picture again.

When we return to full screen, Cassidy has been the babyface in peril through the break. Cassidy is able to dodge a triple team attack to tag in Ishii who runs wild. Kyle and Strong throw hands after Strong breaks up a pin. Ishii hits Strong with a sliding clothesline and again everyone is hitting the last person with a finisher.

Cassidy gets the Orange Punch on Taven for the pin and the win.  Don’t pay any attention to who were the legal men in the ring….

Winners: The Conglomeration

Don Callis comes to the ring after the match, and when Cassidy turns to do something, Kyle Fletcher attacks him from behind, which brings out Mark Briscoe. Strong attacks Mark when he hits the ring and the Undisputed Kingdom are standing tall with Strong holding the Ring of Honor World title.

In the back Aubry Aura is with Saraya and Harley Cameron, Harley says that Saraya has been training and AEW is scared of her which is why she hasn’t wrestled since the Owen Hart tournament. Saraya says she is a legend and will be at Wembely.

Chris Jericho and Big Bill w/Bryan Keith vs The Already In The Ring Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum)

Jericho doesn’t take off the FTW belt and is checking his phone as Bill beats down the Outrunners. Bill doesn’t take a single bump and tags in Jericho after a chokeslam on Turbo so Jericho can get the pin.

Winners: Chris Jericho and Big Bill

Minoru Suzuki comes out as Jericho is leaving. Jericho waves at him and Suzuki storms past him.

The Butcher vs Minoru Suzuki

This is my kind of hoss fight. After they beat on each other, Butcher grabs his leg during a kick and starts working it over. Suzuki is able to escape and then tells Butcher to hit him. After a couple of blows, Suzuki laughs at him. Butcher finally gets in a couple of blows that resonate and slams Suzuki for two. Suzuki goes back to throwing hands. He escapes a back breaker and grabs a sleeper. He then switches to a Gotch style pile driver for the pin and the win.

Winner: Minoru Suzuki

In the back, The Conglomoration has Mark Briscoe speaks and says to be a member, you can’t be a shithead. Mark says that the word of the day is misconglomoration, and tomorrow Ishii will be taking on Roderick Strong. Great promo from Makr as usual.

Kris Statlander w/Stokely Hathaway vs The Already In The Ring Sydni Winnel

Winnell gets a total of one offensive move in before taking the Staturday Night Fever pile driver.

Winner: Kris Statlander

The Lucha Brothers (Rey Fenix and Penta) w/Alex Abrahantes vs Private Party (Quen and Zay) The winner gets a tag team title shot.

Rey and Zay start with a handshake and quick go to trading strikes. Rey gets a springboard crossbody off the second rope and after more blows, Zay gets a pop up hurricanrana. Zay misses a springboard cutter and Rey leaps over the top for a senton. Zay forces them into his corner for a tag with Quen. Quen gets a quick rollup for two. Rey is able to tag in Penta.

Quen tries to bring Penta in the hard way, but Penta stops him, gets a big kick and then gets a tejaris into the ring. Penta gets a big kick on Quen, who drops to the floor. Penta tries to go to the ropes for a dive, but Zay hits a leap onto him and it’s time for everyone to  hit a big move on the last person until everyone is down and we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Rey and Zay are throwing hands. Penta drops Quen with a punch to the floor. Private Party recovers quickly and hits the Silly String on Penta. They then hit a stomp/neckbreaker combo into a senton for two on Rey. Quen is tagged in and they go for gin and juice, but Rey holds on to the ropes to stop the tejaris.  Penta grabs Zay, shoves him into the ropes where Rey runs the top rope for a kick. Penta gets a sling blade on both Zay and Quen.

Rey goes to the top and they set for fear factor, but Penta is shoved into the turnbuckle and Private Party is able to get the Gin and Juice on Rey. Quen covers Rey, but Penta runs in to both break it up and hit a destroyer on Zay. All four men are down in the ring. Quen is up first, He starts to pick up Rey who throws hands. Quen stomps him down. Rey is able to get a double underhook driver on Quen for two.

Penta is tagged in and they start a superkick party. Quen is hit with the Fear Factor. Rey hits a dive onto Zay and Penta covers for the pin and the win.
