HBO RELEASING DOCUMENTARY ON WWE CELEBRITY HALL OF FAMER PETE ROSE

HBO has announced a documentary series on WWE Celebrity Hall of Famer Pete Rose, which will premiere on 7/24:

Rose made a number of WWF appearances at Wrestlemania events in 1998, 1999 and 2000, playing off his infamy of being banned for life from Major League Baseball for gambling on the sport while an active participant.  In 2004, he became the company's first-ever Celebrity Hall of Famer, inducted by WWF enemy Kane as a play on Rose being banned from the MLB Hall of Fame.  He later appeared as a guest host on Monday Night Raw and has made signing appearances at pro wrestling conventions as well.
