Night 2 Scramble: Big Dave vs Hunter Drake vs Kody Manhorn vs Nick Iggy vs Brayden vs Jameson Shook

Since all the round 1 matches were settled last night, the winner of tonight’s scramble has immediate entry into next year’s SCI. Jameson Shook won the ACTION Futures tournament earlier so he’s already two matches deep into the day. Everyone panics early and goes for multiple rollups. Toon blasting Manhorn with a bunch of kicks. Drake thinks he’s got one over on Shook but he walks into the high slams of one Big Dave. Iggy and Drake working together a little. But they both can’t win! Manhorn almost rolls up iggy but the kickout send him flying through the ropes. Shook with a crossbody over the top rope to everyone on the floor! No one gets there in time and Kody’s punched his ticket to SCI 2025!!!

2nd Round Match: Rico Gonzalez vs Paul London

Paul London has a surprise for us. He’s not singing Thunderball tonight. He comes out singing Lionel Richie’s Hello. Rico is dancing with the ref. This is wonderful.

And just as the song ends, London attacks! He’s brutalizing Rico until he tries a running attack and here’s the Hamrick bump. Rico walking him down but London has the trash can. London blasts Rico with trash. He tries a destroyer into the trash but Rico back drops him into it. Rico tries to keep it going but London is the wily vet here. Rico crotches him on the top but ends up getting sent gut first into the top rope. Rico with a gut kick and shotguns London into the buckles. London dodges an apron double stomp. London tries to roll up Rico and he’s holding the ropes again. The ref sees it, London lets go and Rico is ready to reverse the roll up and catch London for the three count!!! London can’t believe it’s over! The crowd gives an enthusiastic encore chant for him. Paul London sings the entirety of Thunderball after wrestling a wholeass match. The musician side of me REALLLLLLLLY respects that.

2nd Round Match: Adam Priest vs 1 Called Manders

This match is gonna hit HARD. If Priest wins here, there’s a very good argument for him getting an immediate chance to regain the ACTION Wrestling Championship. Priest also had a relatively easy night on Friday. Manders just starts pounding on Priest early. Priest tries the snap ddt out of nowhere but Manders pushes it off. Priest heads outside to regroup. Priest tries a new tactic but Manders throwing clubbing blows and headbutts…Adam sent over the top for some big clubs to the chest. Priest jacks the arm on the top rope. He rams Manders other arm into the buckles. No arms = no lariats. Priest getting his shots in. Manders with a suplex reversal for two. Priest hits a piledriver for two! Hard slaps and Manders hits a suplex sending them both to the floor. They are down on the floor for a WHILE and barely gets back in. Slap slap…Manders hits the stampede! Kickout! Sitout bomb! Kick out! Manders going for the powerslam off the top…Priest reverses and hits a superkick ddt! Manders barely kicks out but the crowd is in full This is Awesome mode. Priest eats a lariat. Manders goes for the big game he but Priest crucifixes him…he gets the three! Priest just beat the 2023 SCI Winner AND the ACTION Wrestling Champion. He’s easily the favorite headed into the final.

2nd Round Match: Matt Makowski vs Darian Bengston

What’s wild about every one of these second round matches? Every one is a pick-em. I can’t say I’m sad for anyone winning or losing tonight. Everyone deserves to go to the final. Makowski almost Immediately locks in the cross armbreaker. Darien stacks the pin but Makowski is alllllll over him. Matrix dodge of some wild spinning head kicks, Be Saron wants to slow it down? He tries to grind Makowski with a cravat but Matt just escapes and puts a hurting on the arms and wrists. Makowski mercilessly dropping knees into the wrists. Darien screaming in pain. Heavy chest kicks. Slick transition to a cross face…Darien with an uppercut and heads kicks stagger Makowski! Tumbleweed of the corner crashes down for a two! Makowski with a huge spear! He gets Bengston up in a torture rack…spin down into the cross armbreaker but he can’t lock it in. Makowski gets caught up in the ropes and Bengston hits this cool half Nelson spinning slam back into the ring! They fight to the top of the buckles…Makowski hits a Spanish fly and lands right into the cross armbreaker! Bengston immediately submits! Wild finish!

2nd Round Match: Tank (w/ The Rev) vs World Class Channing Thomas (w/ Sidney Bakabella)

We don’t even get the competitors in the ring and Bakabella already starts a fight with Papa Hales, who rips off his shirt and tries to fight Sidney. Bakabella throws a shoe at him. Matt griffin has to break them up just so Sidney can get in the ring to say “World Class Channing Thomas”. Another epic Bakebella intro for Channing. He gets into it with so many people. Tank and Rev hit the ring and this is the moment I’ve been waiting for. Sidney is noticeably upset at the reality of the situation. “Time is a construct. Tank is forever” screeches the Rev. Channing clearly out of his depth. Tank is beating the brakes off him. Channing is bumping all over the ring as Tank blasts him out to the floor. Channing tosses Bakabella into the ring as a distraction so he can hit a dropkick. This is his chance. Tank is stunned. Channing with a knee to the gut. But tank wakes up and starts dropping elbows to the dome. Sidney looks to take a shot on Tank but the Ref scares him off. Enziguri from Channing for two. Channing wants the piledriver but he can’t get Tank up. Huge saito supkex! Bakabella on the apron and trying to distract the ref. Tank tosses Channing at him….Channing stops…Tank with a backslide and wins! Channing tries to attack after the bell…Tank hits a huge chokebreaker! Bakabella tries to start a fight with Rev and gets his wig ripped off before Tank drops him. The Rev wants to make sure everyone who was wronged by them gets a taste….so they bring out Rachel Armstrong who hits a 450 on Bakabella to close out the first half. Bakabella is laid out in the ring and Scott Hensley sells photo ops with his unconscious body. classic.

Scott Hensley is here to announce upcoming shows, including a benefit show. Kasey Owens and Tyler Stevens are out here to mess with Scott. Scott gets Suge D out here and sets up a main event match at that show for the Good Hand…and then he surprises them with a match they get to be in…right now

The Good Hand (Suge D, Kasey Owens & The Wall) vs Rob Killjoy, Rachel Armstrong & Landon Hale

This whole new leaf Suge has been on really had me wondering about the long term future of the Good Hand. But Suge offers a handshake to Landon before they grapple a bit. Very sportsmanship. Landon does a flip and Suge is like, no thank you and tags out. Killjoy and Owens scramble a bit before the Wall makes his presence felt. Who can stand up to him? Rachel Armstrong. He wants a test of strength, she kicks out his knees to stand over him. He tries to pick her up…Landon puts her on his shoulder so she is still the big dog. Big cross body to everyone by Killjoy. Killjoy is in trouble though…as he gets caught in the wrong corner. Good Hand with a triple team pose to show they still have unity. Suge and Killjoy with a double crossbody and Landon gets the tag in finally! Backbreakers and stunners for everyone! Owens lawn darted into Suge! Wall tries a swinging slam but Rachel tags in. The wall mockingly takes her forearms but he gets baited over the top. Triple dive to the floor! Landon with a handspring cutter on cuter. Owens flies in with a headbutt! Killjoy with a neckbreaker! Well hits a chokeslam! Rachel almost bombed but she head scissors Wall back out of the ring. Landon goes for another handspring….Suge dropkicks him while he’s upside down. Spear! Landon takes the three! The more interesting bit here is watching Suge shake hands with his opponents…and Wall and Owens looking on in disbelief. Suge has words for Darien Bengston. He wants to win the TWE title and he’s feeling rough about losing his spot in the SCI….But he wants to do it right and he wants to stand for something. Next show, Suge will find a way to a rematch.

 TJ Crawford vs Anakin Murphy

TJ thinks it’s an easy night against Chattanooga’s favorite twink. Anakin immediately sends TJ to the mat, stomps his hands and send him to the outside. Murphy gets the crowd assistance holding TJ for some chops. They both eat the support pole. Crawford hits a drive by dropkick and Anakin is rag dolled. TJ brings him back to stomp him out. The crowd is actually a little split here! TJ with a head kick and hangman’s cutter. He chokes Murphy into the bottom rope. Anakin with a capo kick! Enziguri to the top rope! Iconoclasym! Suplex for two! TJ dodges the double stomp! He tries a cheating pin but ref Kim catches him! Anakin off the ropes but TJ pops him up and hits a GTK for the win!

Erron Wade is out here to address us? Why. He’s mad that everyone thinks he tapped out last night. He was “squashing a bug on the ring” . He says he’ll never tap out again and he wants an opponent immediately. MAD DOG CONNOLLY blows through the curtain.

Erron Wade vs Mad Dog Connolly

Wade is looking intense but the mad dog is alllllll over him. Erron finally escapes a series of gutwrench suplexes. Back kick to the jaw. Trading chops and slaps but Wade starts landing some hard kicks. Mad dog firing right back with hard lariats and clubbing shots. Huss! Huss! Huss! Mad Dog spears Wade through the ropes to the floor! Flurry of headbutts..Mad dog tries a piledriver but Erron backdrops him off the apron. Connolly is stunned hard and Erron gets the countout win! Boooooo! Connolly is visibly angered and challenges Wade to a dog collar match! He will make Wade live his truth.

Main Event: Rico Gonzalez vs Adam Priest vs Tank vs Matt Makowski (Elimination match tournament final)

Adam Priest runs down the ramp and blasts Tank with a chair during his entrance! Another shot drops Tanknand people are tending to him on the outside as the match starts…Tank heads to the back…the journey may already be over for the bloodbath behemoth! Makowski and Rico are scrapping and it’s not like Adam Priest has any desire to tag in. He accidentally tags Rico and refuses. Rico is on his own. Priest with a blind tag, pulls Makowski to the floor and bowls Rico over. Makowski tags in. Big saito! Another for Adam. Priest with a reversal and a big German to weapon X. Priest gets backdropped to the apron! Rico doesn’t wanna be left out and dives to the floor! Priest with a drive by boot! Makowski eats an Alabama slam! Rico hits a Mack-10! Priest rolls out allowing Makowski to fold Rico up with a German! Rico firing up on Makowski. Big dropkick sequence…Rico heads to the top…Makowski with a superplex straight into a powerbomb for two! Matt wants that cross armbreaker…Rico off the top…he falls into a rear naked choke. Makowski transitions to a cattle mutilation for the tap out! Nooooo! Makowski has Priest’s arm trapped in the cross armbreaker! Priest hits the rope. Makowski misses a head kick…Priest hits the ddt for the three count! At that moment, a bloody Tank heads from the back with a chair. He blasts Priest with it! He’s pummeling Priest! Biting! Huge saito suplex! Kick out! He tries another but Priest reverses to a ddt! He can’t make the pin in time!  Tank hits a ddt! Kick out! To the outside, Priest throws a door at tank! Tank picks up Priest and saito’s him through it! Priest pummels Tank’s head with pieces of door! Tank makes the count at nine! Priest has the chair, Tank knocks it to the ground. Priest immediately hits the ddt into it to get the pin and win the Scenic City Invitational!!!

Manders is in here with Jaden Newman, AC Mack and Daniel Makabe to present the trophy to Priest, the man who knocked him out of the tournament earlier in the night. It looks to be a civil affair…and then Priest blasts Manders over the head and breaks the trophy! Jaden gets in his face…Ddt to Newman! Manders to bleeding from the skull as Adam priest storms off, leaving a pair of former winners laying. What just happened?!?

Adam Priest just put his mark on the SCI…but he might regret it.
