The vignettes recently airing on AEW TV will introduce a brand new character that Tony Khan created, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
The character will be portrayed by the former Aramis. We have been told that Masked Republic's Lucha Libre Agency negotiated his AEW deal, which was signed this past February. Aramis continued to perform in Mexico until AEW began running the vignettes this past weekend on Collision.
PWInsider.com is told by numerous sources that this new character was personally devised by Khan, who been said to have been personally excited about putting it together. I am under the belief the new character will be a babyface. There is no word when he will actually physically debut or how many vignettes have been devised.
As Aramis, he has made appearances in MLW and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. In Mexico, he was a regular for Lucha Libre AAA as well as IWRG, among other promotions.
