THE AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

It’s Wednesday!!! That means AEW is LIVE from Calgary. Alberta. Canada.  It’s Dynamite. It’s the finals of the Owen Hart Tournament. Tony Schiavone, Nigel McGuinness and Excalibur have the call of all the action.  

We see highlights from Collision where MJF addressed the AEW audience as well as Daniel Garcia.

Will Ospreay comes out to kick off Dynamite. The AEW International Champion looks deadly serious.  He talks about the injuries that have befallen Garcia.  He mocks MJF over the failed bidding war of 2024.  He puts over Calgary (Alberta. Canada).  Crowd loves Ospreay, he says he represents the foundation of AEW and calls MJF a selfish little *rick.  Ospreay wants a fight and tells MJF to come out and settle this.

MJF’s music hits but we only get MJF on the screen.  He says the people of Calgary (Alberta. Canada.) don’t deserve to see him.  He calls Ospreay a dancing toy monkey. MJF says he’ll expose Ospreay for the fraud he is.  He offers Ospreay a match for next week. Ospreay smiles and calls MJF adorable and accepts the challenge.

The Last Outlaw Jeff Jarrett comes out as the special enforcer.

Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Final: Bryan Danieslon vs. Hangman Adam Page

Page spits on the Trophy as he comes out.  We are told that Taz has been banned from the arena.  Shove by Page. Lockup. Clothesline and ground and pound by Page.  Page poses for the crowd.  Elbow to the back of the head by Page. Danielson evades a charge and applies a ½ crab. Page makes the rope.  Kick by Danienlson. Page to the floor. Tope by Danielson. Back in the ring, Danielson hits a shotgun dropkick. Kick by Page. LAriat on the apron by Page. Page sends Danielson as we go to commercial.

As return, Danielson is bleeding as Jeff Jarrett looks on. They trade kicks and punches. Choke by Page.  Page stomps Danielson on the mat.  Chops by Page.

Excalibur announces MJF vs. Ospreay for next week is official. .

Flying cross armbreaker by Danielson into the Labell Lock. Page makes the ropes. Saito Suplex by Page. Danieslon knocks Page off the top rope. German suplex by Danielson, Page landed rough on his head. Danielson misses a diving headbutt. Crossface by Page. Danielson makes the ropes as we head back to commercial.

We are back and Danielson is raining down elbows. Page removed the buckle cover and slams Danielson’s head into the exposed steel. Tombstone piledriver by Page for 2. Page is also bleeding now.  Page gets shoved off the top rope. Springboard to the floor by Danielson floors Page. Yes kicks on the floor by Danielson. Piledriver on the floor by Page. Jarrett and Dr. Sampson check on Danielson. Page shoves Jarrett. Page with punches to Danielson. Page rips off the K tape off of Danielson’s neck. Desperation Busaiku knee by Danielson.  They trade head butts. They each counter a German and Danielson accidentally nails the Busiaku knee to Paul Turner. Page starts whipping Danielson with a belt. Enter Jeff Jarrett, who gets shoved down. Rollup for 2 by Danielson. Labell lock by Danielson. Page counters into the Deadeye for 2. Buckshot Lariat by Page.  Page misses a 2nd. Crossface by Page. Danielson seems to be out. He’s not. Rollup by Danielson and he scores the pin.

WINNER BRYAN DANIELSON

Page storms off. Dr. Martha Hart comes out and Jeff Jarrett accompanies her to ringside. Together, they present the belt and trophy to Danielson.  

AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland comes out. 

As we return from break, Swerve is in the ring talking about silencing the critics (Danielson has left). He congratulates Danielson but reminds him that he hasn’t forgotten that Danielson beat him once. He announces that he has joined Team AEW at Blood and Guts. He challenges Okada to a match.

We see comments from Willow Nightingale and Mariah May

We see a rap from Max Caster on the Elite.

Stampede Street Fight: Samoa Joe vs. Chris Jericho w/Bryan Keith

Joe with a punch and nails Jericho in the corner. Jericho fights back with chops. Joe with a tope to Keith. Jericho misses a dropkick but hits an elbow. Chair to the back by Jericho empties a bag of horseshoes. Joe with a kick and he slams Jericho on the horseshoes. Senton for 2 by Joe. Low blow by Jericho. Walls by Jericho as we go to commercial.

We are back. Joe with a clothesline in the corner. Jericho tries a running knee but Joe casually walks off.  Action spills into the audience.  Vicious Popcorn to the head by Joe.  Now they’re backstage. Hot coffee to the face by Jericho. Kokina Clutch by Joe. Big Bill with a chair to the back. Keith joins in the beatdown.  Belt buckle to the head by Jericho. Bill chokeslams Joe onto a forklift. Jericho drives the forklift through a wall. The doctor stops the match.

WINNER CHRIS JERICHO

We see a replay of what just happened. Joe is wheeled out in an ambulance. The learning tree waves bye bye to the ambulance.

Global Glory 4 way match for an International Title Match: Kyle Fletcher vs. Claudio Castignoli vs Tomohiro Ishii vs. Pac

Don Callis has joined the booth. After an initial brawl with all 4, Claudio and Ishii slug it out. Pac dropkicks Ishii off the top rope.  Pac with a rana to Fletcher. Fletcher with a thrust kick to Claudio. Ishii backdrops Pac. Claudio with a gut wrench and then with tope takes out Pac and Fletcher as we go to commercial.

As we return, all 4 are down. As they get to their feet. Ishii pounds away at all three opponents. Mayhem ensues. Big uppercut to Pac by Claudio. Ishii eats a Fletcher tombstone for 2. Ishii with a headbutt to Fletcher but Claudio uppercuts him. Big swing by Claudio to Fletcher and he turns it into a sharpshooter. Pac applies the Brutalizer to Fletcher. Ishii breaks up both moves. Lariat for 2 by Ishii. Claudio and Pac go nose to nose. Pac with a series of Germans.  Pac nails a Black arrow and a Brutalizer to Fletcher and Fletcher taps.

WINNER PAC

Pac has the mic.  He wants his Wembley Stadium moment.

Adam Page storms by Renee Paquette.  Page bangs on the Elite’s door. The Bucks and Okada answer. Page simply says “I’ll do it” and walks off.

TBS & NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone’ comes out. There’s a bottle of something on a table in the ring. Mone’ is booed vociferously. She says she will not be interrupted tonight. She steals Bret Hart’s catchphrase (not a popular idea).  She says she’ll leave Dr. Britt Baker for dead if she ever crosses her again.  And here comes Dr. Baker.  Security tries to hold her back. She fights through them. Mone’ bails out.

We come back to Brandon Cutler being beaten up by Darby Allin.

Owen Hart Memorial Tournament Final: Mariah May w/Toni Storm & Luther vs. Willow Nightingale

Lockup, arm twist by Willow. May with a standing switch, leg takedown by Willow. Arm twist hammerlock by May, Reversed by Willow into a full nelson. Lockup. Chop by Willow. Shoulder block by Willow. Trip by May. Headscissor takedown by May and she nails a rabbit punch and dropkick to the spine. Chops by May. Willow with side slam for 2 

Willow with a forearm sends May to the floor. She hits a cannonball as we go to commercial.

Back to live action. Dropkick off the top by May. Hip attack by May into a DDT.  Kick by Willow into a hip attack of her own. Willow scores a 2 off of a spinebuster. May escapes a sharpshooter attempt. German by May. Running uppercut by May, followed by another. Kick by Willow. Rana by May for 2. Rollip by Willow into a fisherwoman for 2. Headbutt by May, both women are down. Someone in a mask (revealed to be Stokely Hathaway) attacks. Kris Statlander with a clothesline (Storm distracted the ref). May scores a 2. Leg trap for 2 by May. Huge lariat for 2 by Willow. Cannonball by Willow. Victory roll by May and she scores the pin.

WINNER MARIAH MAY

Code of Honor adhered to.

Storm and May celebrate. May turns on Storm and cracks her with the Owen Title belt. Luther eats belt shots as well. Luther falls off the ramp. Storm is bleeding and crying.  Mariah tears her up with Storm’s shoe. Aubrey Edwards eats a shoe shot.  We see the Storm vs. May All In graphic.  A HELL of a closing segment as we go to credits.
