DREW NAILS ADAM PEARCE, TIFFY TALK, PUNK ON CENA AND MORE: WWE MONEY IN THE BANK MEDIA SCRUM NOTES

WWE Money in the Bank Media Scrum & MITB Post-Show Notes from Toronto:

Bron Breakker:

They showed a trainer taping his left knee up backstage after the show.

Drew McIntyre:

There was an angle where an enraged Drew McIntyre tried to storm the post-show panel.  Adam Pearce tried to calm him and was shoved down, as were several referees.  Wade Barrett warned Drew he was throwing away his career if he didn't stop.  Barrett later claimed that he was fined for getting involved.

CM Punk:

-Punk joked he was there to take questions for John Cena.

-On Cena's retirement, Punk said he texted him not to leave before they said Hi.  He figured Cena was leaving right away but they ran into each other.  Punk said he told Cena he was going to be the one to drag him back out of retirement.  He said Cena means a lot to his career.  He's in the rare air that if you talk about Punk's career, you have to talk about John and vice versa.  They are married that way.  He told Cena they have to do it one more time.

-Punk said he felt Cena was Superman and Punk was Batman.  If MITB 2011 was the best moment of his career, he's fortunate to have a career where you can argue different greatest moments.  If it was MITB 2011, he's proud of that.

-On whether we'll ever see AJ Lee and CM Punk back in a ring together again, you would said have to ask AJ and she's home watching Larry.  He said he doesn't want to tease anything.  She's busy and has set up a production meeting and is writing TV and film projects and is involved in so many different projects at this point, that he feels like a bad husband because he never knows which one she is talking about.

-As to where he is in terms of rehab and being cleared, he wants to keep people in suspense.  He feels great and ready to go, but there are things in place to protect Punk from himself.  He's busting his ass to get back to the fans.

-Punk said Cena made him nostalgic for all the times Cena went over his time tonight.

-Punk asked how his MITB return felt.  He said it feels like he was meant to be here for Cena's announcement and he was happy to be.  He said that sometimes the planets all aligned.

-Punk was asked about Seth Rollins' response to his actions tonight.  Punk said, "No comment."

Tiffany Stratton:

-Liv Morgan is doing great thing but she's focused on Bayley.

-The MITB briefcase needs a pink color or some bedazzling.

-She teased the idea of facing Trish Stratus down the line.

Sami Zayn:

Zayn cut a promo backstage saying he was physically spent after his match with Bron Breakker.  He said he doesn't know how many times he could defy the odds before the odds change.  He said he was going to do something that a lot of people felt he couldn't, yet he did.
