We are also saddened to hear of the passing of Louie Tillet, who wrestled for tons of territories in the 60s and 70s and was a MAJOR part of Eddie Graham's CWF. Tillet was the booker in Championship Wrestling from Florida, was the first person to use "Hulk" in conjunction with Terry Bollea and was very much responsible for Dusty Rhodes coming to Florida, so he was a major part of setting major, positive ripple effects into the water for professional wrestling. Les Thatcher noted, "So sad to hear that another dear friend & warrior has left us. Louie Tillet was a mentor, talented heel, creative booker, & one hell of a cook! I have faced him in the ring, wrestled for his booking and eaten at his table, & enjoyed his company! Go with God my friend & know that you will be remembered with Love & respect!"
There will be a massive Legends of Memphis Wrestling Reunion Show this Saturday 6/29 in Jonesboro, Arkansas with Jerry Lawler, Jerry Calhoun, Tommy Ruch, Doug Gilbert, Koko B. Ware, Doug Gilbert, Ricky Morton, Jimmy Hart, Bushwhacker Luke Williams, Downtown Bruno and Kerry Morton appearing.
Former WCW World Champion and WWF star Lex Luger filed for trademarks on his ring name, as well as "The Total Package" and "Total Package 2.0" on 6/25 in the realms of goods and services for "Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes."
