The Indianapolis Business Journal is reporting today that WWE is in discussions with Indiana Sports Corp. to bring big events to the city in the next few years. The story stated that they have talked with WWE about WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and Summerslam, among other events, to the city.
No deal has been finalized yet. The story reports that one source told them that discussions were in the "later stages".
The story states:
The deal is expected to run at least seven years and would include WrestleMania, which has taken place in Indianapolis only once before (1992), and Summerslam, which the city last hosted in 2008. The city would also host Royal Rumble for the first time as part of the agreement.
They also state that they have a tentative date of 2/1/25 for next year's Royal Rumble.
The major PLE's would be held at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of The Indiapolis Colts and the NFL Combine.
