6/15 COLLISION REPORT

It is Saturday and AEW Collision is live from Covelli Centre in Youngstown OH and it’s the One Year Anniversary episode!  

Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

We start with Christian Cage talks about his legendary run with the TNT Championship that he won on the first episode of Collision. He says tonight’s show will be very special. Oh, and it was Luchasaurus who won the TNT title that night. 

The Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli and Bryan Danielson) vs Rocky Romero, Lio Rush, Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste

Bryan and Rush start off the match and they quickly trade waistlocks and miss kicks at each other. Bryan lays in kicks and Rush gets a hurricanrana off the second rope. Yuta tags in and Rush gets in a series of leaping kicks before tagging in Rocky. They trade strikes, Rocky gets a big kicks and Yuta gets the boomerang comeback off the ropes into Rocky. Claudio tags in Rocky gets a pop up hurricanrana. Nicholls tags in and gets a running lariat on Claudio for two. 

Haste tags in and Claudio gets a double bulldog before tagging in bryan. He gets a shotgun drop kick and gets a running kick in the corner. Haste gets a stunning elbow and Daneilson follows with a Labell lock, and that sets off the tag team siren and everyone is brawling all around the ring. Bryan gets a series of Yes kicks and Nichols pulls Bryan down and slams his head into the apron as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Rocky is getting the forever clotheslines on Bryan in the corner. He then puts Bryan on top and Bryan gets a Manhattan drop from the top and both men struggle to get a tag. Haste tags in first and Bryan escapes to tag in Claudio, who cleans house. Next up is the spot where everyone takes out the previous person until Mox is tagged in and he runs wild. Rush is able to get a frog splash for a two count.

They go through the everyone taking out the previous person again until Rocky is put in Claudio’s Giant Swing. Rush leaps on Claudio’s back Rush is tossed into a Death Rider by Mox for the pin and the win.

Winners: Blackpool Combat Club

Mox grabs a mic and says Naito is a survivor, but his match at Forbidden Door is his last chance. Mox is coming to Forbidden Door to put an end to Naato once and for all. 

We then get a hype video for the match between Rush and MJF on Dynamite Wednesday.

Tony Schiavone brings The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn to the ring for an interview. Max Caster says that usually they come to the ring with a rap. However, today, the Young $@#ks issued a fine to Anthony Bowens for disparaging them. He says the fans want the Acclaimed to become the new tag team champions on Wednesday. Bowens says the Bucks need to focus on being in the ring with the Acclaimed for the first time in 4 years. He says they want their tag team titles back and they will do whatever it takes to win.

Max then says he will deliver a rap for the Young Bucks, but they are interrupted by Brandon Cutler who threatens more fines. Christopher Danials comes out and says the fines have been reversed. Cutler gets in Daniel's face and Daniels gives him a whoopin, and then the Acclaimed give Culter the Shiver Me Timbers. 

Thunder Rosa vs Deonna Purrazzo in a No DQ Match

They start fighting as soon as Rosa hits the ring. Rosa comes off the top to Purrazzo on the floor and then slams her head into the steel steps.  Rosa starts throwing the plunder into the ring. Purrazzo wedges Rosa’s arm between the steps and the ringpost and kicks the steps. Purrazzo throws more plunder into the ring. Rosa gets a Death Valley driver for two. And Rosa brings out the table, but Purrazzo gets a sliding baseball kick into the table into Rosa as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, they are fighting on the top turnbuckle. Purrazzo drops to the mat and kicks Rosa’s head, making it so Rosa is in the tree of woe. Purrazzo hits a shoulder thrust into Rosa for two. Rosa hits a DDT on a chair for two. Rosa puts a trash can over Purrazzo and hits it with a metal pipe and then runs up a table as a ramp into a drop kick into the trash can for two.

Purrazzo reverses a pile driver for two. Purrazzo gets the Venus deMilo on Rosa and Rosa maneuvers out of it. Purrazzo beats up a cameraman, takes his camera and nails Rosa in the head with it.  Rosa is knocked out and the ref calls the match.

We then get a retrospective video about Collision’s first year.

Dalton Castle w/The Boys vs Hechicero w/Gates of Agony

The Outrunners tag team are now with The Boys who come out with Dalton. 

Castle tries to pick the leg, but they grapple into the ropes. They trade blows and Castle gets the better of it. They go into the ropes and Hechicero gets a rear naked choke in the ropes and then comes off the top for two. Castle gets a short arm clothesline and a DDT for two. Hechicero gets a pair of back elbows, but Castle gets him up for the Bangarang. Hericero reveres the slam into a leg scissors. Castle leans back for two and Hechicero turns it into a cobra clutch, but Castle escapes and is whipped into the corner when Hechicero charges into him.

Castle gets a suplex and when they recover, Hechicero gets a sunset flip for two. Castle misses a charge into the corner and Hechicero gets a knee lift followed by a twisting leg drop for the pin and the win.

Winner: Hechicero.

H3echicero and the Gates attack Castle after the match. The Outrunners run to the ring to get clotheslined out of the ring.  This brings out Daniel Garcia and Matt Menard with chairs to run off the Gates and Hechicero.

In the back, Lio Rush interrupts Top Flight and introduces himself and tells them good luck for their match tonight. 

Christina Cage is introduced by Mother Wayne as Nick Wayne and Killswitch. Cage comes to the ring and sits in a big, comfy chair. He makes fun of Ohio and tells people to sit down and shut up. He reminds us that this is the anniversary of Nick Wayne’s father dying, which was the best thing that ever happened to Nick because it led Nick to him. 

Nick then gives Cage a Father’s Day card. They then unveil a painting of Cage by Killswitch.  The card looks like it was done in a rush backstage, and Killswitch’s painting is awesome, so Cage puts over the card and says the painting is just OK. Cage asks why Killswitch can’t be more like Nick And Killswitch goes to leave the ring. Cage stops him.

He says that his shoulder was up in his match with Swerve Strickland, and while there is footage of this, he won’t make excuses and he will be the champion. And the path to that title is winning the Trios Championship. He says that Tony Khan’s dad gave him millions and millions and millions, but he declares that this is his company and he is Tony’s father now. 

In the back, the Bang Bang Gang answers Cage. Juice Robinson says they built Collision. The Gunns say that since Jay White isn’t there, the titles are not on the line tonight. 

Dante Martin vs Lee Moriarty for a spot in the TNT Championship Ladder Match.  

Dante picks the leg and they run the ropes. Lee does a struct, and they reset. Lee gets a single leg pickup and slams Dante’s leg. Senate then gets a hurricanrana from the mat and follows with a Tejaris. He dodges a charge from Lee and dives to the floor, but Lee dodges. Dante gets a kick through the corner. Dante gets a big chops and rolls Lee into the ring.

Lee knocks Dante to the floor and we go to picture in picture. When we return to full screen, Dante gets a big boot and a series of strikes. Dante dodges an attack in the corner and gets a two rope leap onto Lee for two. Dante tries for a full nelson, but Lee blocks it and works over Dante's arm. Lee then gets a face plant and locks on the Border City Stretch. Lee stomps on Dante's hand to stop Dante from grabbing the rope, so Dante gets the rope with his foot for the break.

Lee hits a slam for two. Lee lays in kicks on Dante's head on the mat. Lee misses a kick and Dante gets a knee lift. Lee gets a kick and Dante gets another knee lift and a meteora from the top. Dante goes to the top and hits a frog splash for the pin and the win.

Winner and in the TNT championship Ladder Match: Dante Martin

Shane Taylor and Anthony Ogogo attack Dante after the match, and this brings out Darius Martin and Action Andretti to get beat up by Taylor and Ogogo. Lio Rush then comes out for the save and knocks them out of the ring. Top Flight and Andretti are wary of him.

We get a video promoting the return of Hikaru Shida and she is in the Owen Hart tournament.

Roderick Strong has joined commentary with The Kingdom with him.

Kyle O’Reilly vs the Already In The Ring Anthony Henry

Strong says that while O’Reilly is solid, but he doesn’t care about his other partners the way he cares about him, Roderick Strong.

This is mostly a mat grappling match and Kyle shows off hsi speed and striking ability and wins with the Jugi Gatami arm bar. 

Winner: Kyle O’Reilly

The Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn and Colton Gunn) vs The House of Black (Malaki Black, Buddy Murphy, and Brody King)

Juice and Black start off. They run the ropes and Black gets a shoulder tackle and a one count. They trade takedowns and Juice misses an arm drag and Black sits cross legged in front of him. Juice raises his leg like a dog going on a fire hydrant toward Black. Black gives him a kick to the head and Austin tags in and gloats about it. 

King tags in and Austin walks back to hsi corner and tags in Colton. Colton gets a strike and King just beats him and his brother Austin down as well. Both of them are tossed from the ring. All six men face off in the middle of the ring and House of Black start beating them down as we go to picture in picture. 

When we return to full screen, Colton has been in peril through the break, but he gets Black into his corner and they work Black over with Juice getting a two count. Black is whipped to  the corner and Juice stomps Black down. He gets a snap suplex for two. Black is worked over with quick tags. Juice misses a cannonball and Colton blocks Black from tagging out. Colton misses a splash, and Colton tags in. Black is able to get the tag to Buddy who cleans house. Buddy hurts his knee on a meteora as we go to picture in picture. 

When we return to full screen, Buddy is being taken to the back. The Bang Bang Gang swarm King. They work over King in their corner with quick tags. King takes out the Gunns when they go for the 3:10 to Yuma and King is the first to recover and tags in Black. Black cleans house and hits a moonsault from the second rope onto Juice and gets a suplex with a bridge on Colton for two.

Coltosn hits a leaping club to the back on the neck on Black for two. Austin is tagged in and gets  a famouser for two. The Gunns get the 3:10 to Yuma on King and as Coilton is on top, Pac knocks him off the top. Black nails Austin for the pin and the win.

Winners and getting a Trio Championship match: The House of Black

We then get Christian Cage on the Big Screen saying they aren’t a trio any more as Buddy has been laid out backstage.
