AEW RAMPAGE REPORT

It is Friday and this week’s Rampage was recorded on Wednesday at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, IA right after Dynamite.

The commentary team is Tony Schiavone, Matt Menard, and Excalibur.

Toni Storm (AEW Women’s Champion) w/Mariah May and Luther vs Alex Windsor

Windsor attacks Storm when Storm is giving her belt to May. Storm cuts her off with a Thesz press and a series of butt bumps in the middle of the ring. Storm hits a hip attack onto Windsor on the apron.  Storm tries for a suplex on the floor, but it’s blocked and Windsor slams Storm into the apron face first. She then slams Storm on the apron and works her over on the floor.

Windsor rolls into the ring and May tends to Storm. Windsor comes back to the floor and tosses Storm into the ring post and lays in body shots. Storm is able to drive Windsor into the barricade and then rolls into the ring. Windsor grabs Storm’s leg and whips it into the ringpost. Luther gets in the way of Windsor’s attack and she shoves Luther into May who then falls onto Storm as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Storm attacks Windsor in the corner and then gets the hip attack. Storm gets a fisherman’s suplex with a bridge for two. Windsor gets a headbutt and Storm fires back with one. Windsor clotheslines Storm as Storm tries to run the ropes. Windsor gets a suplex for two. Storm gets an inside cradle for two. Windsor gets a shining wizard for two. Storm hits a surprise Storm Zero for the pin and the win.

In the back, Arkady Aura is with Harley Cameron on her own. She complains about people declaring they are in the Owen Hart tournament, and the only person to declare anything is Soriah. Soriah won last year at All In and she will do it again this year. 

We get a video for a match between Thunder Rosa to Deonna Purrazzo tomorrow on Collision in a no DQ match.

Rocky Romero vs Shota Umino

Shota is from New Japan Pro Wrestling

They lock up and go to arm bars. Shota gets an arm drag to bring Rocky down. Rocky reverses it and gets an octopus hold, and Shota gets a leg bar to reverse it. They go to the ropes and break with Rocky laying in a chop. Shota returns fire and then gets a scoop and drops Rocky. Shota hits a dropkick as Rocky is on the mat. Shota gets a series of blows. He lays in stomps and blows, when he charges at Rocky, Rocky pulls down the rope for the low bridge. Rocky then dives onto Shota as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Rocky is hitting the forever clotheslines, but Shota cuts him off with a dropkick. Shota hits a DDT over the top rope onto the apron. Rocky is rolled into the ring and then comes off the top with a dropkick and hits an exploder for two.  Rocky gets a backslide. Shota slides through and grabs Rocky’s leg. Rocky misses the insigiri but hits the reversal of the move.  Rocky gets an uppercut and a DDT, and calls for Shota to get up. Rocky gets a running sliced bread for two.

Rocky lays in forearms and Shota calls for more. Shota gets a pop up knee and a neckbreaker for two. Shota gets a blow to Rocky’s back and follows with a Paradigm shift for the pin and the win.

Winner: Shota Umino

Satnam Singh w/Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal vs The Already In The Ring Rosario Grillo

“This is not good for anyone.”  Matt Menard

Winner: Satnam Singh

Jay Lethal says Satnam is on a roll, but he says he can beat his opponent faster than Satnam did.

Jay Lethal vs Pac

Pac gets a flying mare into a side headlock. They go to the corner, and Lethal stomps him down. Pac is whipped to the apron and he leaps into the ring. He reverses the hip toss and gets a back kick. He then dives onto Lethal on the floor. Pac goes to the top, but Dutt gets on the apron to distract the ref. Satnam grabs Pac and drags him to the floor.

The ref has seen it and Satnam is outta here! Lethal lays in blows on Pac on the floor and then runs him into the barricade. Lethal runs Pac into the ringpost and hits a running kick. Lethal rolls Pac into the ring. Pac starts firing back and Lethal tosses him to the floor and struts in the ring. Lethal then leaves the ring to attack Pac, but Pac reverses it. Lethal reverses that and whips Pac into the steel steps as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Lethal tries to get up the figure four. Pac tries kicking him, but Lethal catches them, but Pac gets a rollup for two. Lethal tries for the lethal injection, but Pac drops kicks him in the face as he goes to back spring off the ropes. Both men are down and struggle to their feet.

Pac lays in blows and kicks in the middle of the ring and then a running kick. Pac goes to the top and hits a missile dropkick for two. Lethal goes for a figure four and Pac kicks out of it. Lethal kicks Pac’s leg and hits a knee breaker into a dragon screw. Lethal is able to get the figure four. Pac is able to get to the rope for the break.

Lethal goes into a ground and pound and goes to the top. Pac is able to get up and grab Lethal's leg. Pac joins Lethal on top and Lethal goes for a power bomb. Pac turns it into a back body drop and goes to the top.  Dutt gets on the apron and Pac kicks him to the floor. Lethal gets a suplex and calls for Lethal Injection. Pac avoids it, but Lethal gets a cutter. He goes for the Lethal Injection again, but Pac avoids it and hits a clothesline.  Pac locks in the brutalizer and Lethal has to tap out.

Winner: Pac
