Any update on the Billy Jack Haynes case?

There was a delay in his bail hearing  as the two sides were going to do further research into the circumstances.  I haven’t heard anything new since and he remains in custody.

What is going on with TNA?  Should we be worried there are no shows scheduled past August?

Obviously, they're in some sort of cost cutting mode because they are reorganizing things and there have been departures.  Does that mean you should be worried?  I don't know.  The company has always found the way to survive and find a way forward. I can tell you that we have heard that they are trying to lock in a new permanent location where they could produce television, perhaps even live weekly, and once they do that, they should be in a better place because you would think that the costs would be pretty much fixed week to week or taping to taping at that point.

There have been a lot of times where I've heard from talents who were very concerned about the health and longevity of the company but this is not currently one of those times - at least not as I write this. I have not heard of any talents being late on payments or any talents being paid less than they were promised or having promises reneged.  That has happened in the past under previous ownership but has not happened on Anthem's clock that I have heard.  If we were hearing something of that nature, then I would be a little bit more concerned about the long-term health of the company.

I think they are just trying to figure out how things are going to work under the Anthem banner and as they continue to refine that they are cutting people no different than TKO cutting people from WWE as they figure out what WWE is and how it will fit in conjunction with UFC under their banner.  Stay tuned.

Do you think WWE is going to steal Jordynne Grace away from TNA?

No.  I don't think they're going to steal her but I do believe that there may be a concerted effort between the two sides that likely will lead to Grace landing full-time in WWE at the end of her TNA contract, if not sooner.   Now, it is entirely possible that WWE could make an offer to buy out her contract. it's also possible that WWE could just pay TNA for the rights to use her while she is still working for TNA or it is entirely possible that she just will work the remainder of her TNA deal (which I believe expires in the first quarter of 2025) and then she moves on.   One doesn't need to be clairvoyant to see how this ends.  WWE obviously sees something special in Grace because they've never tried to make this sort of overture before with a talent under contract elsewhere.  I just hope that no matter where she lands in the future TNA get something beneficial out of this other than a couple of appearances that they can't advertise similar to Christian being on TNA programming in the past without any sort of oomph behind it.  TNA should be rewarded for allowing it.

Why isn’t anyone running Hammerstein Ballroom anymore?

It's a pretty expensive venue to run for a smaller company. it's not technically a union building but they bake in enough expenses that you would almost think that it is. I don't know that unless you are a larger company or you charge an exorbitant ticket price that they was really a way to make a profit on it if you are an independent wrestling company. I would like to see Ring of Honor go back there at some point or TNA run there as they initially envisioned earlier this year but I don't know that it's going to happen anytime soon.   GCW has stated they would go back there at some point but again it just does not happened.

Do you think that companies will start running Summerslam weekend the way they do Wrestlemania?

Yes.  GCW is running Cleveland this summer as is AIW.  Wrestlecon is having a huge signing event over the course of the weekend as well.
