WWE NXT had two live events over the weekend in the Sunshine State.
On Friday 5/30, they were in Tampa at the University Area CDC Gymnasium, where the big question about Brooks Jensen was answered. As a few readers have written to us about, Jensen has been tweeting and acting as if he was released by WWE on Twitter. When we looked into it, there was no sign that had actually happened. At the Tampa show, Jensen came in carrying a sign that read “BRET WOULD BOOK BETTER” and got into it with Javier Bernal after a tag team bout. This led to security ejecting Jensen from the show. It’s all an angle, so we’ll see where it goes. Tyriek Igwe & Tyson Dupont defeated Drake Morreaux & Javier Bernal.
Other bouts in Tampa saw Dante Chen defeat Lexis King, Tamyra Mensah-Stock defeat Kendal Grey, Joe Coffey defeat Cutler James, Karmen Petrovic defeat Jakara Jackson, Oro Mensah defeat Eddy Thorpe, The D'Angelo Family defeat No Quarter Catch Crew, Chase U defeat Drake Stewart, Sexy BJ Ray & Vincent Winey, Lash Legend defeat Fallon Henley and Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan, WWE NXT North American Champion Oba Femi defeat Ridge Holland and WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams & Wes Lee defeat Gallus in the main event.
On Saturday 6/1, NXT ran Crystal River at the Armory with Tank Ledger defeating Skylor Clinton, Lola Vice defeating Lainey Reid, The No Quarter Catch Crew beating Cutler James & Dion Lennox, Eddy Thorpe defeating Thunder Keck, Tatum Paxley defeating Stevie Turner, WWE NXT North American Champion Oba Femi defeating Damon Kemp, Tony D'Angelo beating Lexis King, a six person tag with Out The Mud defeating Brinley Reece, Edris Enofe & Malik Blade, Kelani Jordan defeating Izzi Dame and WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Axiom & Nathan Frazer beating The D'Angelo Family.
