1 - KUSHIDA and Shoma Kato vs. Dragon Dia and Ninja Mack
Mack pins Kato after a Phoenix 630 splash.
2 - DOUKI and TAKA Michinoku vs. Robbie Eagles and Zack Sabre Jr.
ZSJ pins TAKA with a Zack Driver.
3 - Hiromu Takahashi, Tetsuya Naito and Shingo Takagi vs. Taiji Ishimori, Drilla Moloney and Gedo
Takagi pins Gedo after a big Pumping Bomber.
4 - HENARE and Callum Newman vs. Yujiro Takahashi and SHO
This is announced as the HENARE Comeback Match.
HENARE hits Yujiro with a knee strike and follows with Streets of Rage.
HENARE pins Yujiro.
Shingo Takagi came out to stare down HENARE. They will face off at Dominion on June 9 for the NEVER Openweight Championship.
This was HENARE's first match back since the Cage Match between United Empire and War Dogs. The announcers talked about HENARE losing so much blood in the match that he almost died and still have nerve damage.
I hope New Japan learns their lesson from doing those crazy type of matches.
Best of the Super Junior 31 - A Block Matches:
5 - Clark Conners vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru
Both men fought into the crowd. Referee begins the count. Conners hit a young lion and tried to throw him into Kanemaru. Kanemaru threw the young lion back into Conners and jumped into the ring. The referee counts out Conners and Kanemaru wins.
Yoshinobu Kanemaru has 8 points.
Clark Conners has 8 points.
Both are eliminated.
6 - Kevin Knight vs. BUSHI
BUSHI forces Knight to tap out to Fable.
BUSHI has 8 points.
Kevin Knight has 8 points.
Both men are eliminated.
7 - Titan vs. TJP
TJP comes out with a mask similar to Bray Wyatt's Fiend. This persona is called the Aswang, a Filipino mythological creature.
Good match. TJP goes for a Mamba Splash but Titan gets the knees up. Titan with a running lariat and a double stomp off the top rope. Titan with a springboard double stomp. TJP kicks out at two. Titan goes for another double stomp but TJP spits the red mist in his eyes. TJP hits a running knee to the face. TJP hits a Mamba Splash. Titan kicks out. TJP hits another running knee to the back of the head.
TJP pins Titan.
TJP has 10 points.
Titan has 10 points.
8 - Kosei Fujita vs. Blake Christian
Another good match. Christian attacked Fujita's left shoulder that was taped up. Both men battled to the top rope. Christian hit an inverted Spanish Fly on Fujita, and quickly applied a Fujiwara arm bar. Christian transitioned to a Rings of Saturn. Fujita gets to the ropes. Christian with a curb stomp. Two count. Fujita avoids Christian's spring board 450. Fujita hits Abandon Hope (suplex into a cutter).
Fujita pins Christian.
Kosei Fujita has 6 points.
Blake Christian has 10 points.
TJP holds a tie breaker advantage at this point.
9 - El Desperado vs. HAYATA
Desperado attacks HAYATA's left leg. HAYATA focuses on Desperado's taped up left arm. Good match. They exchange a series of pinfall attempts. Desperado hits Pinche Loco. HAYATA kicks out at two. HAYATA hits a quick straight jacket DDT and follows with 403 Impact. Desperado gets his leg on the ropes. Desperado picks up HAYATA for a Spinebuster. Desperado hits a Super Pinche, holds on and finishes with a Pinche Loco.
Desperado pins HAYATA.
El Desperado has 12 points and wins first place in the A Block.
HAYATA has 10 points.
They made the announcement that El Desperado wins first place in A Block. TJP beat all other wrestlers who have 10 points, so he finishes in second place.
On June 3, El Desperado will face the second place of B Block and TJP will face the first place of B Block.
