It’s Wednesday! That means AEW is LIVE from Los Angeles.
CEO Mercedes Mone’ comes out for her TBS Championship celebration. There are balloons adorning the ring. She asks if it was worth the wait. She brags that she did exactly what she said she would do. She declares herself the greatest of all time. She both praises and demeans Willow Nightingale, stating she knew Stokley and Statlander would turn on her. She says she’s ready for Forbidden Door. Skye Blye shows up on the big screen and confesses she attacked Mone’ during that interview a month or so ago. In the ring, Blue attacks Mone’ and leaves her laying. Tony Schiavone says we will have an update on this situation very soon.
We see footage from Double or Nothing.
House of the Dragon Match: Swerve Strickland w/Prince Nana vs. Killswitch
I have absolutely no idea what a House of the Dragon Match is. Chop by Swerve, he’s sticking and moving. Killswitch throws him over the top. Kick by Swerve, followed by a dropkick to the knee. Neckbreaker by Swerve, they roll out to the floor. Neckbreaker on the floor by Swerve. Killswitch catches a kick and sends Swerve into the steps. Side kick by Killswitch as we go to commercial.
As we return, it’s Swerve going for a triangle choke.It doesn’t work but he chops away ay Killswitch. Killswitch eats a suplex. Back elbow by Killswitch. Pump kick by Swerve. Headbnutt and chokeslam by Killswitch. Killswitch grabs a chair but Nana pulls it away. Swerve with kicks. Swerve Stomp on the floor. In the ring it’s a chokeslam and standing moonsault for 2. German Suplex by Swerve into a house call. One Swerve Stomp later and Swerve scores a 2. A second house call and Swerve scores the pin.

Tony Schiavone announces that Mercedes Mone’ will defend the TBS title later tonight against Skye Blue.
Big Bill in the ring for the debut of TV Time with Chris Jericho. Jericho comes out. The appears to be an obscenely expensive Jeritron 5000 in the ring. He thanks all his branches for being at the learning tree. He brings out Bryan Keith as his guest. He shakes hands with Jericho and Big Bill. Keith has noticed a lack of respect for Jericho and it makes him sick. He’s jumping at the opportunity to sit under the learning tree. Jericho invites him to stay. Hook comes out, followed by Samoa Joe. Hook and Joe stare each other down. Joe whispers into Hooks ear and they walk off together.
WE see DoN highlights of Jon Moxley. We then see a video of CMLL star Stephanie Vaquer
IWGP Title Eliminator: Jon Moxley vs. Rocky Romero
Dropkick and tope suicida by Romero. Rocky slams the injured left arm onto the table. Yes kicks by Rocky. Backdrop by Moxley. Hammer elbows by Moxley into kicks. Rocky snaps Moxley’s fingers and nails 2 dropkicks. Top rope dropkick by Rocky. Rocky snaps the arm on the rope as we go to commercial.
As we return, Moxley has the advantage, he nails 10 punches in the corner. They now trade shots. Moxley with a cutter. Back elbow and a DDT by Rocky. Rocky tries an armbar, Moxley blocks it. Knee strikes by Moxley into the bulldog choke. Rocky escapes and snaps the left arm back. Kick by Moxley. Arm drag in to the jugigatame. Moxley escapes and stomps the head. Lariat by Moxley followed by another. Death Rider by Moxley and he scores the pin.

Rene’ Paquette is with Samoa Joe & Hook. It looks like we have an alliance.
Don Callis comes to the ring with a contract. He talks up Orange Cassidy and, on cue, here he comes. Callis talks him up even more and vows to work with him. He presents Cassidy with the contract to join the Family. Cassidy rips up the contract. Cassidy says no. Stokely Hathaway and Kris Statlander come out. Stokely is no fan of Cassidy. From behind, Trent Barretta attacks Cassidy. Callis pulls Trent off. They hug. There’s a new member of the family alright, and it’s Trent Barretta.
Paquette is with Daniel Garcia and Daddy Magic. Garcia wants the International Title.
TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone’ vs. Skye Blue
Punch by Mone and she slams Blue into the buckle. Forearm shot and a knee strike. Arm drag by Mone’. Mone scores a 2. Spinning headscissors by the champion. Blue bails. Mercedes follows and hits a meteora. Action goes back to the ring. Small package by Blue for 2. Kick by Blue into a draping neckbreaker for 2. We go to commercial.
We are back. Full nelson by Blue. Jawbreaker by Blue. Mercedes with a knee strike for 2. Backstabber by Mone. Mone to the top but eats a kick. Mone with a rana. Full nelson slam for 2 by Blue. Thrust kick by Blue. Money Maker by Mone and she scores the pin.

Stephanie Vaquer, the NJPW Strong Champion, comes out to make a challenge. I’m guessing this is for Forbidden Door.
Stokely Hathaway and Kris Statlander cut a promo on Willow Nightingale. Statlander showed a LOT of charisma here.
We see highlights of the return of MJF.
The Young Bucks come out to address the TNT Title. Kazuchika Okada joins them, followed by The Scapegoat Jack Perry. Perry talks about being set on fire and winning Anarchy in the Arena. The Bucks have gifts for Okada and Perry. Okada got a Lamborghini. Okada is emotional about it. As EVP’s they have to make the tough decisions. Adam Copeland is stripped of the TNT Championship. The Bucks award the TNT Title to Jack Perry. Christopher Daniels comes out as the new interim EVP. He declares there’ll be qualifying matches for Forbidden Door in a ladder match. THe Elite go to attack but the Acclaimed come to the rescue along Billy Gunn.
Swerve Strickland is backstage, curious about who wins the Gauntlet Match coming up.

21 Man Gauntlet for the Forbidden Door Title Shot
Jay White & Pac kick us off. We’re told that the match can end at any time, even before the last guy enters. First fall wins. Pac with kicks at the outset. White gets thrown to the floor and into the rail several times. Pac beats him up on the floor. Chop by White. Rana by Pac. Tope by Pac. Dropkick by Pac.
Mistico has entered the match. My money is not on him. He hits White with a rana and kicks Pac in the stomach. Dropkick to White. Pac and White fight on the floor as we go to commercial.
Will Ospreay has entered the match. He goes right for Mistico. Los Angeles LOVES Ospreay. He chops White and hits a bicycle kick. Mistico with a dive.
Shota Umino has entered the match. He and Ospreay mix it up. DDT by the Shooter, he scores a 2 count.
Claudio Castignoli has entered the match. This is almost impossible to keep up with. Uppercut to Shooter. White eats a giant swing. Back to commercial.
We’re back and Lio Rush is now in the match. He confuses Claudio and sends him to the floor. Claudio takes Lio and Shooter out as Orange Cassidy comes in, all bandaged up. Stundog to Claudio into a DDT. Cassidy and Ospreay face off. White attacks them both.
Hechicero form CMLL is next. Very impressive offense form Hechicero. Mistico nails him with a flying rana. Orange punch to Shooter. 2 count only. Juice Robinson saves Jay White. Ospreay almost gets pinned by Cassidy but he nails an Oscutter to Cassidy for the pin.

Swerve Strickland vs. Will Ospreay is official for Forbidden Door. Swerve comes out to confront his #1 challenger.
