5/15/24 Results from New Japan's Best of the Super Junior 31 from Niigata, Japan:
1 - Ninja Mack and Katsuya Murashima vs. Yujiro Takahashi and SHO
On his way to the ring, Ninja Mack gave one of his masks to Japanese female fan. After the ring introductions, SHO left the ring and went after the Japanese fan's bag and got the mask and tried to rip it in half. Ninja Mack leaped off the apron and hit flying chop on SHO and gave the mask back to the fan.
Yujiro pins Murashima after a Fisherman Buster.
After the match, SHO and Yujiro stomp on Murashima. Ninja Mack tries to save him, but SHO hits a low blow on Ninja Mack and takes off his mask. Murashima quickly helps to cover Mack's face, as SHO and Yujiro stomp on them. SHO smiles as he carries his trophy into their BOSJ match tomorrow.
Good heel work by SHO.
2 - DOUKI and TAKA Michinoku vs. Drilla Moloney and Gedo
DOUKI forces Gedo to submit to the Italian Stretch No. 32.
3 - KUSHIDA and Tiger Mask vs. Francesco Akira and Callum Newman
Newman pins Tiger Mask with an Oscutter.
This was an important win for Newman. He has always been the victim of pinfalls when United Empire were in tag matches. He needs more wins if he is going to look credible to compete in the G1 Climax.
4 - Hiromu Takahashi and Tetsuya Naito vs. Dragon Dia and Tomoaki Honma
Naito hits a Destino on Honma. Naito traps him in a Pluma Blanca (Koji Clutch). Dragon Dia tries to break it up but Hiromu traps him in the submission known as "D".
Honma taps out.

5 - Kevin Knight vs. Kosei Fujita
Fujita worked on Knight's arm through the match, showing his submission knowledge from Zack Sabre Jr. Knight was able to escape Fujita's double wrist lock. Knight hits a Sky High and Spike DDT.
Knight pins Fujita.
Kevin Knight has 4 points.
Kosei Fujita has 2 points.
6 - Blake Christian vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru
Christian hit a curb stomp on Kanemaru and hit a springboard 450 splash.
Christian pins Kanemaru.
Blake Christian remains undefeated with 6 points.
Yoshinobu Kanemaru has 2 points.
7 - Titan vs. HAYATA
Good wrestling match. HAYATA tried to snap Titan's left arm and keep him grounded. Titan came back and stunned HAYATA with a double stomp. Titan applied Llave Inmortal. HAYATA submits.
Titan stays undefeated with 6 points.
HAYATA has 2 points.
On 05/18/24, Titan will face Blake Christian for the lead in A Block.
8 - Clark Conners vs. TJP
Good match. Conners hits a spear. TJP kicks out. Conners goes for No Chaser but TJP reverses into a small package for two count. TJP with a Tornado DDT and a spear of his own. TJP goes to the top rope, but Conners pushes the referee into the ropes and TJP is crotched on the top. Conners hits a Superplex then quickly hits No Chaser.
Conners pins TJP.
Clark Conners has 4 points.
TJP has 0 points.
9 - El Desperado vs. BUSHI
Desperado focused on BUSHI's left leg. BUSHI kept trying for his Ashiroad finisher. Both men were selling their legs. Desperado locks in Numero Dos. BUSHI gets the ropes. BUSHI applies Ashiroad. Desperado drags himself to the ropes to get a break. BUSHI avoids Guitara de Angel and kicks Deperado in the head. BUSHI hits a Codebreaker. Two count. BUSHI misses an MX. Desperado grabs BUSHI's left leg and applies Numero Dos.
BUSHI submits.
El Desperado has 4 points.
BUSHI has 0 points.
