MLW has released a documentary on MLW Champion Satoshi Kojima returning to the promotion after two decades away:
The cliffhanger at the end of Lucha Azteca was storyline-driven and was not Salina de la Renta being written off. la Renta has continued to rise in power for the company behind the scenes and is producing pre-tapes as well as overseeing the women's division. She's in the upper echelon, certainly in the top 3, behind the scenes in terms of power.
We noted a week or so ago that MLW was looking into Canada. We can confirm there are site surveys planned for venues in both Toronto and Alberta later this month. The idea is to build around a Davey Boy Smith Jr. homecoming down the line.
Bad Dude Tito Escondido is going to get a big push as the new MLW National Openweight Champion.
MLW was thrilled with the Lucha Azteca event over the weekend. They demolished their merchandise record as they were all but sold out of everything by 9 PM that evening and it was the the most merch sold, largest lines for merch in company history, etc.
The promotion also sold out of their Cesar Duran meet and greet, where fans could enter his office, interact with Duran and get a photo. MLW was inspired by Star Wars meet and greets at Disney parks where fans can interact with Darth Vader, Chewbacca, etc, in that environment. The plan is to do it again.

Tom Lawlor and Davey Boy Smith are both expected back for Atlanta on 6/1 for Battle Riot.
Mistico is the latest name announced for the Battle Riot match itself.
