JERRY LAWLER INDUCTED INTO INDIANA SPORTS HALL OF FAME

Jerry Lawler was inducted into the Indiana Sports Hall of Fame last night in Evansville, Indiana as part of the weekend gathering honoring him put together by Jeff Osbourne.

As part of the presentation, Lawler's original art that he made as a child and sent to WMC-TV and Lance Russell, which had been in the Russell family's possession, were returned and presented back to Lawler last night.

Among those who spoke about Lawler last night at what was announced as a VIP Roast but was more of a tribute to Lawler were Ricky Morton, Mick Foley, Bill Dundee, Jimmy Valiant, Jimmy Hart, and Jerry Calhoun.

It was announced that a coffee table-style book of Lawler's artwork will be released soon.

There were around 300-400 in attendance for the event.

There celebration for Jerry Lawler in Evansville, Indiana continues today with a number of Memphis Wrestling legends and more appearing, including Austin Idol, Bill Dundee, Mick Foley, The Steiners, The Hardys, Ron Simmons, Lex Luger and Jimmy Valiant. 

The convention today features "Museum style exhibits with legendary, ring-worn items, wrestling artifacts, championship belts, recreated television settings, awards presentation, Wrestling Costume World Championships, photo-ops, autographs, collectibles, LIVE podcasts, Q&A sessions, historic video show and much more." 

It is also advertising that the artwork of Jerry “The King” Lawler will be showcased and feature some forgotten treasures and never before seen art pieces in this once-in-a-lifetime event.
