A few sad death related notes to pass on.
For those who have asked, Billy Riel was laid to rest in Pennsylvania this past Monday.
James Staublein, who launched Midwest Championship Wrestling - Illinos and was involved in a number of independent wrestling ventures over the years, passed away on 5/7 following an auto accident. Staublein worked under the ring name Jimmy Smooth. The promotion's 5/24 event in La Salle has now been dedicated to his memory.
Jesse Scott, who performed as Tiberious King aka JT Playa for several decades across the Canadian independent scene, passed away on 5/8 after a battle with Goblet Cell Carcinoma, a rare cancer of the appendix. There is an ongoing GoFundMe Campaign to assist his wife and three sons, so if you can assist, please do so.
