AEW COLLISION REPORT

It is Saturday and AEW Collision is live from the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria IL. 

Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

Adam Copeland, Mark Briscoe, and Eddie Kingston vs Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin), and Action Andretti

Mark and Andretti start off and Mark grabs an arm drag to start the match. They trade arm bars and run the ropes before Mark gets a side headlock. They run the ropes and Andertti gets a tejaris and a drop kick. He hits a tornado off the ropes and whips Mark to the corner. Mark comes out of the corner with a big forearm and tags in Adam. They hit a double shoulder tackle.

Andretti runs the ropes and gets a springboard elbow.  He crawls to his corner and tags in Darius, who gets a backslide for two. Darius gets a drop kick. Dante tags into the ring and they get a series of double teams moves on Adam. Adam hits a running stampede and tags in Eddie who gets a series of head butts and a chop. Dante is able to get a springboard from the apron onto Eddie. Eddei recovers quickly and gets a chest blow to take Dante down as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Eddie chops Dante down in the corner. Dante is able to get a tejaris and a leaping knee and crawls to get the tag. Mark is tagged in as Dante tags in darius, and he runs wild. Top Flight and Andretti get their dives in and when they get in the ring, Mark gets explorers on Darius and Andretti and the tag team siren goes off and everyone is fighting in the ring.

All six men clothesline each other down. They then move to each person getting a big move on the last person. Adam gets a spear on Andretti, and Mark hits a frog splash for the pin and the win.

Winners: Adam Copeland, Mark Briscoe, and Eddie Kingston

Everyone shakes hands after the match and the lights go out. We then see a promo from the House of Black on the Big Screen, 

We then get a video for the feud between Swerve Strickland and Samoa Joe by recapping Wednesday’s confrontation.

Powerhouse Hobbs vs The Already In The Ring CJ Esparza

CJ is about a head smaller than Hobbs.  Don Callis joins commentary.

That lasts about 60 second as Hobbs gets a victory with the torture rack.

Winner: Powerhouse Hobbs

Don Callis gets in the ring and he says he will not be at ringside for the Bunkhouse match for his personal safety. He says that he is the reason Kenny Omega won the IWGP title in the past, and he has cashed in his favors with New Japan, so the match between Hobbs and Jon Moxley on Dynamite will be for the IWGP Championship.

We get a video package for the match between Will Ospreay and Bryan Daneilson. 

Next up is a recap of Chris Jericho and Hook going at each other on Dynamite. Jericho is backstage and he apologizes for his conduct Wednesday. He then says that he will teach Hook about humility at Dynasty by taking the FTW title.

The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) w/Billy Gunn vs The Gunns (Austin and Colton Gunn) w/Jay White

Caster raps on his way to the ring for the first time in ages. Tony Schiavone says if the Gunns walk out on the match tonight, they will not have a match at Dynasty. Bowens gets out of the ring and tosses the Gunns in and the beatin’ begins. All four men are brawling in and out of the ring as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, the Gunn have been able to turn the tide and are working over Caster with quick tags. Caster is able to kick his way free, runs the Gunns into each other, and tags in Bowen, who runs wild. Colton is able to knock Bowens into Caster, knocking him out of the ring, and grabs a roll up but the ref sees his feet on the ropes. 

Bowens gets a shoulder breaker and covers for two, broken up by Austin. Colton gets a famouser for two. Austin tags in and they get a bulldog followed by a neck breaker for two. The Gunns call for 3:10 to Yuma and Bowen breaks it up. Caster gets a blind tag and Colton gets a blow to the back of Caster’s head. Caster fights Austin off and gets a Death Valley Driver, but Austin knocks Caster off the top. Bowens gets in the ring and the Gunns get 3:10 to Yuma, and Caster gets a Mic Drop to break it up. 

Colton is able to drop down into a pin on Caster, and White helps with the bat for Colton to get extra leverage for the pin and the win.

Winners: The Gunns

In the back, Lexi Nair asked about his matches with the Don Callis Family over the next two days. Bryan says he feels alive, and he sarcastically wonders why Callis is out to hurt him.  Maybe Callis doesn't think Ospreay can do it. Ospreay comes into the interview and says he has nothing to do with the attacks because he wants Bryan at 100%.

We then get a full color video from Toni Storm so we can see the makeup smeared by Thunder Rosa. She says this is not a place to uplift people, it’s a competition. The belt shines in Toni’s reflection and she is a star. Great promo from Storm here.

Bryan Danielson and Cluadio Castagnoli vs Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita in a Bunkhouse Brawl

Bryan and Claudio are jumped on their way to the ring, but it quickly turns into Claudio pairing off with Takeshita through the crowd. Bryan and Fletcher also fight into the crowd. 

As they brawl, Nigel McGuinness reads an apology to clam diggers. 

Bryan is tossed into the ringside area and Claudio runs a garbage can into Takeshita. Bryan beats Fletcher’s head on the announcer’s table repeatedly. He then starts to choke Fletcher with a camera cable. Claudio and Takeshita go to the ring and trade blows. Claudio is able to get the giant swing and Bryan drop kicks Takeshita and Claudio gets a sharp shooter. Fletcher tosses a chair at Bryan and then throws powder in Claudio’s eyes for a two count.  We go to picture in picture.

When we come back, Bryan has been busted open by the chair. Bryan hits a DDT on Takeshita on the ramp. Claudio takes the bell hammer to Fletcher. Claudio beats Fletcher’s head on the steel steps and Fletcher is busted open. Takeshita is rolled into the ring. Claudio sets him up and Bryan gets a guillotine leg drop on the top rope and then goes to work with kicks. Claudio and Fletcher brawl around the ring. Bryan’s leg gets grabbed by Fletcher, and that allows Takeshita to attack. Fletcher and Takeshita get stereo brain busters. 

Fletcher pulls a chain from under the ring. Taekshita wraps the chain around his arm. Bryan escapes before being hit by the chain and Bryan and Claudio get stereo hammer and anvil elbows. They lock on stereo Labell locks, and Powerhouse Hobbs shows up and deals out spinebusters. This brings out Jon Moxely and he goes toe to toe with Hobbs with blows, they fight into the crowd.

Fletcher goes at Bryan with a microphone and Takeshita sets up a chair. Bryan reverses an avalanche slam into a hurricanrana on Takeshita into the chair. Claudio gets in the ring with the chain and uses it to clothesline Fletcher. Bryan hits the psycho knee and gets a Labell lock with the chain for the win.

Winners: Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli

After the match, Bryan says people ask him why he’s having a bunkhouse match before his match with Ospreay.  He says his idea of heaven in a wrestling ring, fighting in front of a crowd. He says that tomorrow he will beat Will Ospreay’s ass. 

In the back, Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale, and Stokely Hathaway say they are fired up and say that Julia must be scared if she is using a chain. Tomorrow Willow will slam Julia Hart through the ring and take the TBS title.

Skye Blue w/Julia Hart vs Layla Hirsch

Blue attacks Hirsch with forearms and Hirsch is able to stop the Code Blue and Blue rolls to the floor to escape any more attacks from Hirsch. Blue hits a spinning neckbreaker on the floor. Hirsch is rolled into the ring and Blue keeps her down with big boots. She gets a German suplex for two. 

Bleu chokes Hirsch in the ring and Hirsch is able to start firing back. Blue stops her cold with a clothesline. She starts to work over Hirsch  in the corner, but Hirsch is able to get a pair of suplexes on Blue. Hirsch goes to the top and Blue meets her there. They fight on the top and Hirsch gets an over the top power bomb for two. 

Hirsch slips off the top and Blue hits a Samoan drop into a Dragon Sleeper, and Hirsch has to tap out.

Winner: Skye Blue

It‘s time for the Main Event

The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) and Kazuchika Okada vs Pac and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood)

Pac and Okada start, and the Bucks try to jump Pac, but he is ready for them and drops them with kicks. He then goes to work on Okada with kicks and strikes. Cash is tagged in and they start to work Okada over with quick tags. They all get baseball slides on the Bucks and Okada and they brawl at ringside. Okada is rolled in and Dax is tagged in and Okada finally gets his feet under him and they trade blows in the middle of the ring. Matt is tagged in and they work him over in their corner with quick tags. 

Matt rakes the eyes and Okada is tagged in and Pac is tagged in. He gets the Ring of Saturn on and the Bucks break it up. The Bucks and Okada try for a baseball slide, but FTR and Pac dodge and they brawl at ringside as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Cash has been the babyface in peril through the entire break. Cash dodges a cross body and Pac tags in and runs wild. Pac sets up for the Black Arrow ansd when he sees Matt come to attack, he leaps down and attacks. Okada distracts the ref and the Bucks work over Pac on the floor. Pac is rolled into the ring and Okada gets a HIGH slam as we go back to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Pac is able to get the hot tag to Dax, who cleans house. Cash and Dax hit double team moves with quick tags. Okada is tagged in and gets a DDT on Dax to stop him. Okada calls for Dax to punch him, and Dax obliges him. Okada stops him with a drop kick. Dax grabs a sharpshooter and the Bucks break it up with a double superkick. Dax takes a triple insigiri and then a series of quick moves from the Bucks’ team for two, with Cash breaking it up. 

FTR is able to get the superplex big splash from the top for two, with the Bucks’ team breaking it up. All six men are in the ring and they pair off from throwing hands. The Bucks hit the Shatter Machine on Pac for two. They hit the EVP trigger on Pac for two, broken up by Cash. Matt takes a Shatter Machine from FTR and the fight spills on the floor. In the ring, Pac hits the black arrow for the pin and the win.

Winners:  Pac and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood)

The fight continues and Daniel Garcia hits the ring. He gets taken down quickly. FTR and Pac regroup and Okada is left in the ring to take blows from everyone. Okada grabs Pac in a scratch, and Okada is pulled out of the ring by the Bucks.
