AEW RAMPAGE REPORT

It is Friday and this week, AEW Rampage was recorded after Collision last Saturday at the Budweiser Gardens in London, ON. Our commentary team is Ian Riccaboni, Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone.

Christopher Daniels vs Malakai Black w/Buddy Matthews

They lock up collar and elbow and Daniels grabs the arm and works it, taking Black to the mat. Black reverses and then Daniels moves to a side headlock. They run the ropes and Black gets a shoulder tackle. Daniels is able to get a side headlock takeover, and when Black escapes, Daniels gets an arm bar takedown. Black forces Daniels into the corner and then lays in blows on Black. Black gets another series of blows and a knee to the jaw. Daniels is counted down and Black sits in the ring and waits. 

Daniels is able to get up at 8 and Black kicks Daniels out of the ring. Matthews tosses Daniels into the barricade and then into the ring. Black covers for two. Black gets a rear chinlock and Daniels works to his feet. Black hits a back elbow for two. BLack gets in a big kick on Daniels and then works him over in the ropes. 

Matthews gets a kick on Daniels when the Ref is distracted by Black.  Black gets a two count as we go to picture in picture.  When we return to full screen, Daniels is dumped to the apron. They go to the floor and Daneils gives Matthews a shot and gets into the ring. Daniels hits Black with a flatliner, but can’t follow up. 

Daniels gets a forearm and a German suplex. He follows with a STO, and goes for an uri nage, but Black counters with a side slam. Daniels is able to escape a charge in the corner from Black and gets a Death Valley Driver for two. Daniels calls for Angels’ wings, but Black gets a leg sweep and a back elbow.  He then gets a kick to Daneils’s head for two. 

Daniels gets a rolling Cradle for two, and then a roll up for two. Black hits a spin kick for the pin and the win.

Winner: Malakai Black

Roderick Strong (AEW International Champion) w/Matt Taven and Mike Bennett vs The Already In The Ring London Lightning in an Eliminator match.

Strong grabs the mic and says this is the Roderick  Strong International Challenge. He mocks Lightning in an interview. Lightning plays the hometown hero and says he has a great chance of winning.

Strong dominates Lightning with mat work. When they run the ropes Lightning gets a leaping knee and then follows up with blows in the corner, but Strong stops him with a poke to the eye.  Strong then works him over with big chops and stomps. Strong then works Lightning over with stretches. Lightning gets a pair of roll ups for two counts and a flurry of offense. London goes to the top after a suplex and Strong rolls out of the ring. Lightning follows him to the floor and rolls him back in the ring. Lightning leaps onto Taven on the floor but EWardlow shows and clothesline Lightning out of his shoes. 

Lightning is rolled into the ring, Strong locks on the cloverleaf and Lightning has to tap out.

Winner: Roderick Strong

Lexi Nair is in the back with Leyla Hirsch who wants an open house challenge against Julia Hart. 

Serena Deeb vs the Already In The Ring Trish Adora

Adora locks on a full nelson and Deeb easily works out of it with a move I haven't seen before.  Really inventive. . Deeb hits a dragon screw and then gets the dumbest move in the wrestling:

The Paradise Lock.

Deeb hits her with a shotgun drop kick to break her out of it. Deeb comes off the ropes and tasks Adora down by picking the leg. Deeb gets an arm drag and then a wrist lock. Adora turns it into an arm drag and follows with a back breaker as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Adotra has been able to take control and hit power moves on Deeb, but Deeb fires a series of jabs as we come back. Deeb catches a kick and hits another dragon screw. Deeb hits a pair of clotheslines in the corner, and when she tries to whip Adora to the corner, Adora reverses it.  Deeb is able to fight her way out of the corner and gets a back breaker on the second rope. 

Deeb gets a neck breaker in the ring. Deeb then gets a dragon screw from in the corner. Deeb tries for another dragon screw, but Aroda blocks in and drops down to cover for two. Deeb then gets a roll up for two. Adora gets a full nelson bomb for two. Deeb and Adora trade uppercuts. Deeb gets a release German suplex followed by a half crab, and Adora has to tap out. 

Winner: Serena Deeb. 

Julia Hart says she respects Hirsch for asking for a match, but she hopes Hirsch knows it won’t go as she plans. 

It’s time for the main event

Daniel Garcia vs Brian Keith vs Aaction Andretti vs Komander A Final Four elimination match

Garcia has all new ring gear, multicolored instead of the black leather he’s been wearing. 

Matt Menard joins commentary.

Keith tries to get an alliance with Komander. Komander and Andretti fight in the ring as Garcia and Kieth fight on the floor. Andretti and Komander do a series of leaps and high flying moves until Keith gets in the ring. They take out Andretti and shake hands. They give Andretti a gutbuster. Garcia saves Andretti and shoves Keith into the corner. He dodges a drop kick from Komander, who nails Keith instead.

Guess that allegiance is over. 

Garcia and Keith fight in the corner. Garcia clotheslines Keith and then clotheslines Andretti. Keith and Garcia fight with Keith getting a two count. Kieth knocks Komander off the top and then goes for a power bomb, which Komander turns into a hurricanrana and holds on for the pin.

Eliminated: Brian Keith

We go to picture in picture, and when they return to full screen, Garcoa and Andretti are fighting on the apron. Andretti gets a Death Valley Driver on the apron and hits an Arabian press.  Komander gets a moonsault springboard front he apron off the top onto Andretti and Garcia. Komander and Adretti get back in the ring and Komder hits a springboard into a cutter from Andtretti for a three count. 

Eliminated: Komander

Andretti rolls Garcia into the ring and hits a split legged moonsault from the top, but misses Garcia. Garcia is able to clip Andretti’s leg from behind. Garcia then goes to work on the leg he clipped. Andretti is able to get a small package for two. Andretti then gets a back breaker into a neck breaker for two. Andretti kips up and waits for Garcie to get up and he charges into Garcia who gets an ankle lock on him. 

Andretti gets close to the ropes, but Garcia pulls him back. Andretti hits a forward roll to shoot Garcia to the floor. Garcia climbs to the apron but Andretti hits a handstand into the ropes, knocking Garcia to the floor again. Andretti dives onto Garcia and both men are down on the floor. Andretti rolls Garcia into the ring and goes to the top. Andretti gets a flying cross body. He calls for Garcie to get up and puts him in a fireman’s carry, but Garcia escapes. 

They trade blows back and forth. Garcia tries for a pile driver, but Andretti turns it into a back body drop and follows with a falcon arrow for two. Andretti puts Garcia in the rack, but his knee gives out. Garcia grabs a knee bar and Andretti has to tap out.

Winner: Daniel Garcia
