ACTION Wrestling “DEAN~!!!”

4/4/24 - Williamstown, NJ

I’m feeling rather torn tonight because my band DnA’s Evolution (dnasevolutiom.com cough cough) is sponsoring two shows this week and they are magically running against each other. Lol. We’re live on IWTV from the H20 Wrestling Center! We open with a memorial chant for Dean Rasmussen. Carmen Michael is your announcer. Dylan Hales and Mose are on commentary! We have some huge matches tonight and the opening contest is for the ACTION Championship!

Match 1: Alex Kane(c) vs Colby Corino (for the ACTION Wrestling World Championship)

Corino is ready to take a championship home from Mania weekend. He frustrates Kane early, who wants to take him to Suplex Island….by just slapping on headlock after headlock. He even dives out the ring and grabs a headlock. The champ gets tired of these shenanigans and slams him to the apron. Kane tossing him around but Corino is back on that headlock bs. This is a great bit and the crowd is here for it. This doesn’t last and Alex hits the Mark of Kane for the win. This was a fun little opening contest.

Winner: Alex Kane

The Good Hand is out here. Their opponents seems to have a delay getting out here. Suge is more than happy to take the forfeit….nah, just a delay Suge. You got work to put in.

Match 2: The Good Hand (Suge D, Kevin Ryan & The Wall) vs O’Shay Edwards & Amboss (Laurance Roman and Robert Dreissker)

Kevin Ryan has a bad opening go of it with Amboss. He tags the Wall out of desperation but O’Shay wants in….and he wants Suge. Suge tries to be that quick journeyman wrestler but O’Shay just blocks any attempts at offense and slams him down. Suge tags Kevin back in. Kevin IS good at taking a whupping….and O’Shay is happy to beat this kid up. Roman blasted by the Wall from the apron. Suge and Ryan take advantage and this is just a blatant 3 on 1 that Shiny Shoes can barely control. Kevin Ryan is of course the weak link and Dylan Hales loves to see it…as it all falls apart for Good Hand. Wall gets isolated and Edwards hits a huuuuuge moonsault for the win! It’s been a bad month for the Good Hand.

Winners: Emboss & O’Shay

We have a surprise match??? Carmen Michael is surprised at the arrival of the Ugly Sucklings. Killjoy says they’ve issued an Open Challenge….and they heard it was accepted. Who are they fighting??? ….OMG!

Match 3: The Ugly Suckling (Rob Killjoy & White Mike) vs Violence is Forever (Kevin Ku & Dominic Garrini)

Well….if the Sucklings want to prove their worth in Action, a victory over the former ACTION tag team champions would be a good start. ViF try to lead the crowd in singing Zombie but the Sucklings attack immediately. Ku rolled into a gut buster and Mike hits a moonsault. This is a very interesting tandem between two tag team specialists who have a LOT of history fighting each other. Mike runs over Dom with a knee. This has been ALL Sucklings. Big Dom finally hits a double back suplex…tag to Ku! He’s running wild and Choo Choo’ing all over the ring. Killjoy escapes chasing the dragon. Double stomp and superkick to Ku! Demolition style springboard leg drop! Ku kicks out! Dom recovers to make the save. Killjoy tries a lionsault but he eats mat. ViF with a backdrop powerbomb for the win! This was awesome.

Winners: Violence is Forever

They are bringing out the BLOOD CANVAS. It’s time for the new tag team champs to have a throw down with NO RULES.

Match 4: The Coven of the Goat (Tank & Jaden Newman w/ The Reverend) vs Filthy Tom Lawlor & 1 Called Manders

I don’t think this is for the ACTION tag team belts. It’s just a fight. Tank puts Ref Gina in the corner. This goes right into the crowd. Tank puts Lawlor right into a wall. Jaden running his mouth and Manders gives him a damned hard chop. Lawlor with an uppercut to the lowboys of Jaden. Meanwhile, Manders and Tank grabs a beer and sit down for a bar fight. That doesn’t stay civil and Manders is swinging chairs. Tank gets planted in the Dean chair. Manders beats him bloody. The cowboy makes a blood cross on his forehead as Lawlor plants Jaden with a ddt into a chair. The bar fight is back on! There are trading headbutts as the crowd chants DEAN! Lawlor with a double stomp to Jaden from a step ladder. Lol. Jaden woken back up by a Manders right hand…briefly. Tank and Lawlor trading hands back and forth. Jaden eats a stampede and a PK but Tank breaks up the pin. Lawlor has a sleeper on Tank…Manders goes for the lariat but Lawlor eats it! Coven of the Got hits a side Russian flying knee combo for the win on Manders! Wild.

Winners: Coven of the Goat

Match 5: 3 Flippy Guys (Rico Gonzalez, Bobby Flaco, Brayden Toon) vs 3 Strong Motherf***ers (Danny Demanto, Hoodfoot & Isaiah Broner)

Demanto says he wants this to be a traditional wrestling match….except for ONE DOOR. We have a SPO door! I guess that one specific door is legal. While they try to figure out where the door got, they floppy guys come flipping in. The strong guys just start overpowering them. Hey kids, wanna see a murder? The pace gets slowed way down as Bobby gets used as a rag doll punching bag. Toon tries to use his size but Hoodfoot kills him. Rico? No luck with Danny. Rico dots Danny but Broner blasts him and spears him through the door! Toon managers to get Hoodfoot and Danny to the floor. Big dive party. Rico stuns Broner! Flaco off the top with an AYOOOOO CUTTER for the win!!! This was awesome to watch.

Winners: 3 Flippy Guys

Match 6: Dr Cerebro vs Gringo Loco

A decade old rivalry in Mexico is renewed tonight in New Jersey. Good early submission work as they go hold for hold in a very split crowd. Cerebro showing a little disrespect and Gringo is like “not in my house”. Gringo sent to the floor, Cerebro with a torpedo dive! Hard chops back and forth. Cerebro really trying to be the rudo here as he chokes Gringo in the ropes. Fighton the top. Gringo headbutts him off the top! Springboard moonsault from the top!!! Cerebro kicks out! Gringo showing some of that rudo energy too as he taunts the portion of the crowd that’s against him. Huge sitout bomb for two! Cerebro wraps up the legs and snaps Gringo’s arm behind him. Cerebro’s grabs a chair and hits Gringo with it, for no reason at all. The ref calls for the DQ. The crowd is mad, CEO Matt Griffin orders the matches restarted as No-DQ! It’s not like they STOPPED fighting. Up to the top, delay falcon arrow off the top!!!! he takes too long making the cover! Cerebro kicks out! Gringo up top but Cerebro bops him with the chair again. Spanish fly off the top! Gringo swings the chair…duck to a superkick! Cerebro grabs the arm and leg and jams a knee into the back…Gringo has to verbally submit!!! Banger. The crowd rains money into the ring!

Winner: Dr Cerebro

IWTV Championship Commissioner Avery Good is out here ahead of the Heavyweight Championship match. He is out here to admit that he was wrong…he made a mistake in stripping Krule of his championship originally. Krule got his belt. Good got the fighting traveling champion he always wanted. He has a peace offering. No more old beat up IWTV belts….Avery Good is here to present the winner of the next match with this shiny new slightly larger belt!

Match 7: Krule(c) vs Warhorse Jake Parnell (for the IWTV World Heavyweight Championship)

Warhorse’s newest persona is a nihilistic piece of emo grump these days. He wants to take the championship away from EVERYONE. The monster is here to take the newer shiny belt back home. All will burn? Parnell looks unimpressed. He may be unafraid but Krule is still a huge powerful monster of a man. Great sweep into a side slam from the atrocity. Warhorse with a trip into the ropes, he stomps the hands and dives out to the floor. He tries to go round the world…caught. Krule with a fallaway slam into a whole section of chairs. Parnell laying in some cracking chops but Krule is just eating them. Parnell is starting to look more energetic as he goes through these chops. Somersault through the middle rope to the floor! They both barely make the ten count. Jake with a JYD headbutt! Warhorse is taking it to him. He tries a suplex…..no….Krule with a X Plex. Krule gets stunned on the apron….Warhorse is able to suplex the monster back into the ring! He comes charged, Krule dumps him on his head. Warhorse escapes the chokeslam…another suplex! Running knee for two! He tries to drop an elbow but Krule catches him…choke breaker for two! Up to the top….Warhorse sunsets flips into a sitout powerbomb for two! Top rope elbow connects! Another top rope elbow! He goes for a third one…Krule sits up…Chokeslam off the top sends Parnell across the ring! Trading shots back and forth….Krule goes for a ripcord….he wipes out Ref Shiny Shoes! Chokebreaker to Parnell. Avery Good blasts Krule with a chair??? He goes to chokeslam Avery but Priest ambushes him with a second chair! Warhose to the top…the third elbow connects! Visual three count…but the new ref takes too long and Krule is out at two! Avery Good takes out the second ref! We got another chair. Good tells Warhorse to FINISH THE JOB. Parnell shoves Good and the chair away. He goes for the champ, who throws a fireball in his face! SCORCHED EARTH! The first ref is back up as Parnell is kicking in pain. Krule gets the three!

Winner: Krule

Avery Good looking fearful at the curtain as JONATHAN GRESHAM comes through the curtain to face down Krule. Krule goes for a chokeslam but Gresham escapes it. The locker room empties to split them up! The crowd WANTS this fight! Gresham tries to get into it but Good pulls him away. Huge chaotic segment as Gresham, a former IWTV himself, clearly wants a piece. Wiiiiild.

<Intermission>

Match 8: Arez vs Matt Makowski

This is a great open, as Makowski is forced through some lucha sequences. Arez is so quick and fluid. Makowski turns this into a stand up fight.  And just like that he has Arez trapped and snaps his arms back. Arez trying to flip but Matt kicks his up and over and Arez falls back into a cross arm breaker. Arez is fighting it and stacks a pin to break the hold. Arez with a crazy back foot bicycle kick. Swinging northern lights for two! Arez tries to springboard but Makowski catches him out of the air. Slams him down with the cross arm breaker and Arez has to tap. This was really good.

Match 9: Adam Priest vs Slim J

Priest tries to muscle J but get shoved right out of the corner. Priest almost gets trapped in a cross arm breaker but he scrambles to the rope. Dylan Hales calls this a bit of a mirror match as Slim J is as much “any style” as Adam Priest is. Priest doing his best to get under Slim J’s skin. Priest trapped in the ropes, great twisting rana, dropkick! Priest with a reversal to a hangman’s neck breaker. Slim J trying to get back in the ring but Priest drops an elbow on the back of his head. Slim with a drop counter to a fujiwara armbar….Priest stacks the break. Slim fights off an abdominal stretch! Crossbody eats mat. Priest hits a delay spike piledriver…close two! He tries again on the apron but Slim back body drops him to the hardest part of the ring! Slim J unloading huge clotheslines. Cravat trap…he’s unloading knees! Priest with a desperate toss. Priest trying the top rope rana…Slim J spikes him with a butterfly ddt off the tope…kick out but they roll into a front choke! Priest almost goes to sleep….Slim stuck into the ropes and Priest slams back and Slim J goes throat first into the top rope. Priest wants that ddt but Slim J hits a tornado cutter and traps the legs for the three. This was a blast. Fantastic match.

WInner: Slim J

Match 10: Wasted Youth (Austin Luke & Marcus Mathers) vs Sinner & Saint (Travis Williams & Judas Icarus)

This match is four guys who can go 100mph at 11pm. And that is exactly what they do. Super quick scrambles, combination moves, just a huge crash of people tossing people around and at people. Crazy combo with Luke eating forearm after forearm while stuck in a gory bomb. Luke with a poisonrana escape to tag Marcus. Flying stunner and a German to Williams. Back flying crossbody for two! Chasing the dragon! Lionsault! Frogsplash! Judas breaks up the pin! Direction switch dive wipes out Mathers! Luke popped up into a German for two! Judas tosses Williams in a dropkick to Mathers. Luke with a double lariat! Hangman’s cutter/double stomp combo to Williams! Judas dropped by Luke and Marcus hits a 450 halfway across the ring for the win!

Winners: Wasted Youth

The blood canvas is back! It’s time for the dog collar match!

Match 11: Demus El Demonio vs Mad Dog Connolly (Dog Collar match)

Connolly is out here with the dog collar already attached. He’s just whipping this around and daring Demus to get attached to him. Mad Dog whips the chain up and catches Demus in the mouth. Demus spits in his face and Connolly blasts him with a lariat. Running dropkick to the corner. Connolly wraps up Demus in the ropes with the chain. Demus is leaking the crimson already. Demus crashes into the post and wipes out a fan at ringside! Connolly throwing a bloody Demus into the crowd and beating him with the chain. Demus with a dodge and powerslam! Denton for two! He rips his own shirt off and chokes Connolly with the rag. Demus hitting senton after senton but Connolly kicks out. Ridiculous chair shot. This is crazy. Both guys are busted open. Demus throwing hard kicks but Connolly keeps fighting. Flying cross body back in the ring. Kick out! Demus tries to choke Connolly out…but wears himself out. Connolly fires up and tries a hangman’s choke with the chain. Demus tries a rollup but Connolly slaps on a triangle with the chain to assist and Demus taps out in a wild violent bloodbath. Awesome s***.

Winner: Mad Dog Connolly

Main Event: Daniel Makabe vs Timothy Thatcher: The Final Match

Makabe is closing out his career soon and tonight, he settles this 5-match rivalry with Timothy Thatcher. Who will get that third win? I have been stoked for this match since it was announced. This is gonna be a technical chess match, hold for hold, counter for counter. Thatcher is a master of putting opponents in painful positions. Makabe is so slick but Thatcher keeps trying to steal his air and slow that wrestling genius brain down. Tim twists the wrist but Makabe grabs a head scissor and rains punches to the ribs. Makabe gets a heel hook but Thatcher is too close to the rope. Both guys on their feet and swinging for the fences. It’s worth pointing out that Tim’s got some wrapping on that leg….and Makabe is focusing in on it. Tim throwing hard uppercuts to the spine. He goes for a cross arm breaker. Makabe trying to roll free but he winds up in a worse position. Makabe rolls it over and drops some slaps to the ear. Thatcher draws the ire of the crowd, punching makable right in the face as sinking back in a crab. Thatcher is smiling. This isn’t good for Makabe. Makabe gets the grip…he drags him down….Cattle Mutilation! Thatcher rolls it and snaps the fingers. Makabe tries for the knee again but Thatcher just pulls at his face. Makabe torques the ankle. Thatcher unloading a flurry of uppercuts. Both guys hurting and holding their arms. Face to face and trading headbutts until they drop. Crowd firmly behind Makabe here. DVD to Thatcher! He’s working to the makable lock but Thatcher gets a fujiwara armbar….Makabe up….three fastball punches and Makabe puts Thatcher down for a three count! For the first time in their series, a match was decided by pinball! A hell of a finale to their rivalry!

Winner: Daniel Makabe

Long show but fantastic show. Crowd stayed fired up through both halves. The second half had some ridiculous action. That dog collar match was wild. But Makabe/Thatcher was a special time. And that IWTV title match, Krule vs Gresham? I’m in.
