DANIELSON VS. SHIBATA, ADAM COPELAND, INFANTRY VS. HOUSE OF BLACK & MORE: AEW COLLISION REPORT

It is Saturday and AEW Collision was recorded Thursday at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, ON. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

Bryan Danielson vs Katsuyori Shibata

They start with grappling on the mat and then on their feet. They lock up with a greco roman knuckle lock and they quickly move back to mat fighting with Danielson getting a wristlock. Shibata gets a snap mare and Bryan reverses and goes back to the wrist lock on the mat. They work to their feet with arm bars. 

As they break apart, they feel each other out with missing kicks and then they go back to the knuckle lock and go to kicks and then back to mat work. Bryan tries for a surfboard and when Shidata blocks, Bryan slams his knees into the mat and goes to working an arm. Shibata gets a series of forearms and then kicks on Bryan, working him down to the mat. Bryan goes back to  the arm and tries to put an arm bar with Shibata escaping and gets a bow and arrow on Bryan. 

Bryan escapes and does the same. Shibata rolls over for a two count and keeps the wrist as they go to the corner for a break. Bryan shoves Shibata and Shjibata shoves him back and they go back and forth. Bryan picks the leg and then stomps on Shibata’s arm. Bryan gets an arm drag and they struggle on the apron. Shibata is able to suplex Bryan from the ring to the floor and then hits Bryan with a kick as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Bryan hits a shotgun drop kick off the top, but Bryan’s arm is hurting him. Bryan hits a running kick in the corner, and Shibata does the same. Bryan does so again and the trade chops with Shibata calling for more before beating Bryan down. Shibata hits a snap suplex for two. Shibata grabs a rear chinlock. They trade waislocks and Shibata gets an ankle lock and Bryan reverses to his own, and Shibata reverses again. Bryan does it again and then hits a German suplex. Bryan goes for a discus, but Shibata gets a rear heel trip.

Both men are down, They get to their feet at five and they trade knee strikes. Shibata gets a Death Valley Driver for two. Shibata gets the hammer and anvil elbows, and then attempts a ripcord, but Bryan dodges and gets a psycho knee for two. Bryan gets a Labell lock and Bryan grabs the free arm and Shibata gets to the ropes with a foot for the break. Bryan hits a kick and Shibata says go ahead. Bryan hits more and Shibata sits on the mat and calls for more. Bryan gets a running kick, which makes Shibata get up and they trade kicks. 

Bryan is knocked to one knee and Shibata presses the advantage. Shibata sits across from Bryan and they trade blows to their feet until Bryan knocks Shibata down. Bryan tries for a psycho knee and Shibata dodges and gets a ripcord followed by the octopus hold. Bryan gets a foot on the rope. They get a series of two counts on each other. Bryan eventually rolls Shibata on his back and holds on for the pin and the win. 

Winner: Bryan Danielson

Bryan calls for a handshake and the code of honor is adhered to.

Julia Hart (TBS Champion) vs Trish Adora

The House Rule is Loser cannot go out with their team in the tag team match later tonight.

Julia dodges the first lock up and then grabs a waistlock and Adora reverses it and gets an arm drag. Adora does the splits on Hart’s back. Adora hits a shoulder breaker and holds Hart in place before a shoulder tackle. Hart goes to the floor and Adora follows her and they brawl around the ring. Adora is run into the steel steps and then slams Adora’s hard onto the steel steps as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Adora hits a series of elbows and then a clothesline on Hart. She then gets a shoulder breaker on Hart for two. Misses a pump kick and a charge into the corner. Hart gets a charge and pulls Adora out for a leg trip and Adora reverses it into a two count. Adora gets a German from her knees into a bridge for two. Adora misses a senton and Hart grabs for a two count.

Adora charges into the corner and Hart stomps her down. Hart then goes to the top and nails a moonsault for the pin and the win.

Winner and still TBS Champion: Julia Hart

Backstage, Lexi Nair is with Zak Knight and Harley Cameron and she says Angelo Parker has challenged him to a fight. Knight says they won’t fight tonight. Harley starts mocking Canada and Knight says he will fight Parker on his terms. 

Daniel Garcia vs Lee Moriarty

Matt Menard joins commentary.

They start quickly with takedowns, leg sweeps, and mat work. Garcia gets out of a head scissors and dances at Moriarty. Garcia gets chops and whips Moriarty to the corner. He then follows with a shotgun drop kick and Moriarty goes to the floor. Garcia follows him. Shane Taylor pulls Garcia off and Moriarty nails Garcia from behind. Moriarty rolls Garcia in the ring, hits a drop kick for two. 

As the ref is distracted by Moriarty, Taylor nails Garcia in the head. Moriarty dances at Garcia and after Garcia gets in a few blows, Moriarty gets a belly to belly suplex. He then gets a wrist lock arm bar as Garcia works to his feet. They throw hands and Garcia drives Moriarty into the corner when he stomps down Moriarty. Garcia gets a chop block and snaps Moriarty’s leg. Garcia gets a side suplex for two.

Garcia grabs the legs and Moriarty flips him over for two. Garcia tries for a pile driver, but Moriarty turns it into a backdrop and then follows with a double foot stomp. Moriarty tries for a rollup but Garcia escapes and grabs a heel hook and Moriarty has to tap out.

Winner: Daniel Garcia

Matt Menard gets into the ring with Garcia. 

Pac vs The Already In The Ring Aaron Solo

Pac beats the ever lovin’ crap out of Solo for about 3 minutes. The crowd chants “He’s a bastard” during the match, so the fans have not forgotten him.

Pac wins with the black arrow followed by a brutalizer. 

Winner: Pac

Pac grabs a mic and says The Bastard’s back and looking for trouble. He tells Tony Khan to find him some or he’ll find it himself. 

In the back is Bryan Danielson in a zen seated position. He says he was thankful to wrestle Shibata tonight as they were both told they would never wrestle again. He says he is grateful to wrestle Will Ospreay at Dynasty. He says Will has followed him but can’t walk in his shoes. He then says he has been on death’s door because he loves this and he thinks Will is not ready to do what Bryan will do.

Claudio Castagnoli vs Lance Archer

All right, time for a hoss fight!

They lock up and neither gets an advantage. They both try shoulder tackles back and forth until Lance kicks Claudio and scoop slams him. Claudio pops up and scoop slams Archer. They trade blows and boots. Claudio finally clotheslines Archer out of the ring. Claudio tries to charge, but Archer grabs him. They fight on the apron with Archer getting a cannonball senton on to Claudio on the floor as we go picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Archer gets a chokeslam for two. Archer trash talks Claudio and lays in blows, but Claudio blocks a DDT and this a suplex. Claudio gets an uppercut and Archer nails a clothesline. He then grabs Claudio’s hand, walks the top rope, but Claudipo pulls him down with an uppercut for two. Claudio starts the giant swing and Archer rolls out of the ring. Claudio charges into him and rolls him into the ring.

Claudio goes to the top and Archer gets a rising knee stroke and a chokeslam for two. Claudio is on top, and Archer grabs him for the black out, but Claudio escapes for a Death Valley Driver. Archer rolls to his knees, and Claudio gets a running uppercut and a series of blows. Archer is put on the top and Claudio gets a cutter from the top for two. Clauudio hits a springboard uppercut for two. 

Claudio and the fans call for the big swing and it is interrupted by Dutch and Vincent, and then beat down Claudio.

Winner by DQ, Claudio Castagnoli.

Bryan Danielson tries to help Claudio and gets taken out. Shibata shows up with a chair to drive them off. 

Lexi is with Ruby Soho and Anthony Parker and Parker says he’s ready for a fight and if Zak won’t fight tonight, he’s a coward. Ruby tells him that they are baiting him into a fight and if he goes looking for them, he’ll do it without her. He backs down.

Kyle O’Reilly vs Bryan Keith

Kyle paces in the ring and Kieth comes to the ring. They lock up collar and elbow and Keith moves to a side headlock. Kyle is able to drop down and escape. Kyle gets an arm bar and Kieth reverses it. Kyle works out of it and gets a backdrop and Keith rolls him up for two and Kyle goes to the floor to regroup. 

He returns to the ring and they trade forearms. They run the ropes and Kieth gets a mule kick and Kyle follows with a running knee and then slaps Keith. Keith gets a stretch and Kyle gets out of it and Keith gets another mule kick. Kyle gets a standing arm bar and Kewith gets a DDT for two as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Keith gets a big boot, but Kyle gets a low knee to drop Keith. Kyle lays in knees and slaps and then gets a spinning leg sweep. Kyle gets a running forearm in the corner and a knee bar, and Keith rolls to the ropes. Keith gets a solid strike, but Kyle locks on a guillotine into a triangle choke. Kyle gives it up and then hits a kick to Keith’s knee. Kyle goes to the top and Keith nails him there, and Kyle drops the mat.

Keith gets a pair of knees and covers for two. Kewith gets a double underhook slam for two. Kyle gets an arm drag on Keith who was on the top. Keith gets an enziguiri and they trade kicks. Kyle hits the rebound lariat and a sheer drop brainbuster for two. Kyle gets the arm bar and Keith has to tap out.

Winner: Kyle O’Reilly

Roderick Strong and The Kingdom come to the ring to celebrate with Kyle.

Lexi asks Thunder Rosa and Deonna Purrazzo and Deonna says Toni tapped out. Rosa says that the title Toni has is the one she never lost. 

House of Black (Buddy Matthews and Brody King) vs The Infantry (Shawn Dean and Charlie Bravo) Tag Team Title Tournament Match

House of Black attack before the bell and beat up the Infantry outside the ring. The House of Black gets into the ring and waits for the Infantry to recover. Infantry get in the ring and the match starts with House of Black continuing their attack as we go picture in picture. 

When we return to full screen, and Bravo gets a rollup for two on Matthews. Dean tags in and fights off Matthews until King tags in. Dean attacks Matthews and King in opposite corners, but King takes him out with a clothesline. Bravo gets in the ring and House of Black takes him out. They hit Dante’s Inferno on Dean for two, broken up by Bravo. Bravo gets in a few blows until King hits a Death Valley Driver on the announcer’s table. King gets a pile driver on the announcer’s table.

Matthews gets a curb stomp on Dean and pulls him up at two. Julia Hart whispers something into Matthew’s ear. Matthews goes to the top and Mark Briscoe nails him with a chair. King chases Briscoe off and Dean throws an arm on Matthew’s chest and the ref counts three.

Winning and moving on is The Infantry.

Malakai Black storms to the ring and Briscoe is still in the crowd, taunting them. 

We get a video recap of the Christian Cage/Adam Copeland feud.

It is time for Adam Copeland to come to the ring. There is a chair and The Box Adam used to scare Cage the last time they met. He thanks the crowd because he thought he’d never be able to perform here again. He calls out Cage, while sitting in the chair. He says Cage’s ego is out of control. He says he didn’t come here to take anything away from Cage. He calls Nigel McGuinness a human goiter.

He said he earned his title shot and Cage took him out with a con-chair-to. He says he got a phone call to remind him of who he was. He says he created something and pulls out a baseball bat filled with nails and he says Spike is hungry, and the phone call from Mrs. Foley’s baby boy worked. He says this Wednesday, Cage will be in the hospital and he will take everything from him. He says he will make Cage say I Quit and 40 years after it all started, it ends.
