3/11 NJPW Cup Results from Ehime, Japan:
1 - Boltin Oleg and Shoma Kato vs. Zack Sabre Jr. and Mikey Nicholls
Nicholls pins Kato after a short arm lariat.
2 - Tomohiro Ishii, Tomoaki Honma and El Desperado vs. Taichi, Yuya Uemura and DOUKI
Uemura forces Honma to tap out to a cross arm breaker.
3 - Hirooki Goto and Togi Makabe vs. KENTA and Chase Owens
Owens blasts Makabe in the face with the IWGP Tag Belt. KENTA pins Makabe.
After the match, Owens and KENTA beat down Goto and hit him in the head with the Tag Belt. Owens will face Goto tomorrow night in Round 2.
4 - Tanga Loa, Shota Umino and Jado vs. David Finlay, Gabe Kidd and Gedo
Umino pins Gedo after a Death Rider.
5 - Hikuleo, El Phantasmo, Ryusuke Taguchi and YOH vs. Ren Narita, Yujiro Takahashi, Yoshinobu Kanemaru and EVIL
SHO comes to the ring with House of Torture, still selling a sore neck. SHO cuts a promo on YOH who stole his IWGP Jr. Heavyweight belt.
As G.O.D. come to the ring, SHO wants to attack YOH. SHO stays away from the bigger Hikuleo. YOH taunts SHO with the Belt the disappears with the belt. YOH comes back out without the belt and SHO is angry.
Narita pins Taguchi after a Double Cross.
SHO chases after YOH to get his belt back. House of Torture attack Hikuleo and smash his left knee with chairs. Hikuleo meets EVIL in Round 2.
6 - Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji, Hiromu Takahashi, BUSHI and Tetsuya Naito vs. Jeff Cobb, Great O-Khan, TJP, Francesco Akira and Callum Newman
O-Khan forces BUSHI to tap out to the Sheep Killer.

7 - Toru Yano vs. Jack Perry
Yujiro Takahashi comes to the ring with Jack Perry, who is wearing his goat mask.
Perry attacks Yano at the bell. Yano sprays him in his eyes with his spray bottle. Roll up for a two count. Yano smothered Perry with his robe and goes for a cradle. Two count. Yano takes off a turnbuckle pad. Perry tosses Yano to the floor and Yujiro beats down Yano. Perry sends Yano headfirst into the guardrail. Perry throws Yano in the ring. Yano makes a comeback, but Perry traps Perry in an STF. Yano gets to the ropes.
They go back to the floor. Yano throws Perry over the guardrail Yujiro tries to handcuff Yano, but Yujiro gets cuffed to the guardrail.
Back in the ring, Yano throws Perry with a back suplex. Yano tries quick rolls up. Yano slingshots Perry into the exposed buckle and Perry hits is face right on the top metal bolt. Ouch! Yano hits a chop block and goes for a pin. Two count.
Yoshinobu Kanemaru comes to the ring. Perry pushes Yano into the referee who takes a bump. Kanemaru and Perry stomp on Yano. Yano pushes Perry into Kanemaru and hits a double low blow. Yano rolls up Perry. Yujiro, somehow got out of the handcuffs, pulls out the referee to break the count.
Perry hits a low blow on Yano and a northern lariat to the back of the head. Perry hits a running knee.
Perry pins Yano.
Jack Perry advances to the quarterfinals.
Jack Perry has been doing fairly well as a part of House of Torture. He is learning from a good heel faction. Luckily, he has the Tokyo Pimp and the Heel Master Kanemaru for their for support and direction in this match.
8 - YOSHI-HASHI vs. SANADA
SANADA attacks YOSHI-HASHI's neck in the early moments. YOSHI-HASHI goes after SANADA's neck as well. Match was even until YOSHI-HASHI hits a Headhunter. YOSHI-HASHI hits a lariat and a sit-down powerbomb. Two count. YOSHI-HASHI applies the Butterfly Lock. SANADA gets the rope break then hits a TKO. SANADA goes for Skull End but YOSHI-HASHI reverses out. They exchange reversals and SANADA traps him in Skull End. SANADA lets go and goes for a moonsault. YOSHI-HASHI gets the knees up and grabs a small package. SANADA kicks out.
Both men trade elbows. SANADA reverses out of Karma and hits a Magic Screw. SANADA hits a Shining Wizard. YOSHI-HASHI reverses out of Dead Fall into a Codebreaker. SANADA hits another Shining Wizard. SANADA hits a moonsault. YOSHI-HASHI kicks out. SANADA looks frustrated. YOSHI-HASHI hits a Dragon Suplex and a lariat.
They trade strikes. SANADA with an O'Conner Roll. Two count. YOSHI-HASHI with a Meteora. Two count. YOSHI-HASHI hits a lariat and a Kumagaroshi. Two count. They exchange reversals. SANADA hits Dead Fall.
SANADA pins YOSHI-HASHI.
SANADA moves on to face Jack Perry in the quarterfinals.
SANADA faced Jack Perry once at Forbidden Door 2023 for the IWGP World Title.
Round 2 of the New Japan Cup continues tomorrow.
