It is Friday and this week, AEW Rampage was recorded after Dynamite at the Gas South Arena in Duluth, GA. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Chris Jericho, and Tony Schiavone.
Kip Sabian and Butcher w/The Blade vs Trent Beretta and Orange Cassidy w/Chuck Taylor
Kip starts with Cassidy and Kip immediately tags in Butcher. Cassidy then tags in Beretta. They lock up and Butcher forces them into the corner, and they break clean. They lock up again and Butcher tosses Beretta back, and then he does it again. Beretta instead throws hands and Butcher hits an elbow strike to knock down Beretta. Beretta gets an insigiri. Beretta tries for a DDT, but Butcher just charges through Beretta and tags in Kip.
Beretta whips Kip to the corner, and follows with a back body drop and a back elbow. Beretta tags in Cassidy and they hit a double shoulder tackle on Kip. Cassidy gets a two count. They run the ropes, and Kip blocks a DDT, but Cassidy works it into an arm drag that Cassidy turns into a two count. Kip reverses for a two count, Cassidy reverses for two and then gets the spinning DDT.
Butcher is tagged in and Cassidy’s spinning DDT is stopped. And slammed. Butcher then picks Cassidy up by his pants and hits a back breaker. Kip is tagged in and starts whipping Cassidy into the corners. Kip hits a back breaker and Cassidy grabs the rope to break the pin and we go picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, Cassidy has been the babyface in peril through the break. Cassidy is able to get his hands in his pockets, avoids attacks from Kip and Butcher, and makes it to his corner to tag in Beretta, who cleans house. Trent tried for a strong zero on Kip, but Butcher get the big boot. Cassidy gets in the ring and Butcher hits a back breaker. Butcher gets a pump handle suplex, and Kip comes off the time with double boots for two.
Butcher is tagged in and he misses a charge into Beretta in the corner. Beretta gets a German suplex on Butcher, Cassidy comes in to hit an Orange Punch, and Beretta gets the strong zero for the pin and the win.
Winners: Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta
We get a video package about the Ring of Honor team The Infantry.
We then get Renee Paquette who interviews Ruby Soho, who talks about how much she now hates Saraya and how now she and her family will get what is coming to them.
Julia Hart (TBS Champion) vs The Already in the Ring Robyn Renegade
The House Rule is that no moves can be done off the top rope.
They lock up and Robyn forces them into the corner. They lock up again and Hart gets a headlock takeover and keeps the headlock as they get to their feet. Hart trips Robyn and then slams her head into the mat repeatedly. Hart slams Robyn into the corner and works her over there. Hart then chokes her on the second rope until the ref breaks it up. Hart gets a German suplex, and then slams Robyn down by her hair.
Hart gets a back heel trip and locks on a rear chinlock. Robyn fights free and hits a shotgun drop-kick on Hart. Hart follows with a lariat and a back elbow in the corner. Hart gets a lariat to the back and then locks on Hartless. Robyn has to tap.
Winner and still TBS Champion: Julia Hart
Renee is then with Saraya, Harley Cameron, and Zak Knight, and they threaten Ruby and Angelo Parker. Someone backstage are holding a solo cup, and Saraya knocks it out of his hand, spilling the contents on Zak, who attacks him.
Penta w/Alex Abrahantes vs Action Andretti
They start by shoving each other, and Andretti picks the legs after Penta does the Zero Mero in his face. They run the ropes and Penta gets a pair of sling blades. Andretti gets a spinning DDT and then runs into a kick from Penta on the apron. They brawl around the ring with Penta shoving Andretti’s shoulder into the steel steps. Andretti is able to dodge a whip into the ring post and instead gets a hurricanrana from the apron as they go to picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, Andretti gets a series of running elbows and then hits a springboard kick knocking Penta to the floor. Andretti gets a senton on the floor and rolls Penta into the ring. Andretti tries for a springboard, and Penta drops him with a kick. Andretti gets a Spanish Fly for two. Andretti runs into a big boot and then hits a driver for two.
Penta goes for the Fear Factor, but Andretti escapes out the back. He charges into Penta, who tries for snake eyes, but Andretti lands on the second rope and leaps onto Penta’s shoulders. Andretti gets a poisonrana for two. Andretti tries for a tornado dive front he top, but Penta nails him with a kick and drops Andretti with the Fear Factor for the pin and the win.
Winner: Penta
We then get a video package of Jericho's opponent tomorrow night, Titan.
It’s time for the main event
Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) vs Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) vs Brian Keith and Komander
As Taz might say, it’s gonna be Bullet Point Jones for this one.
Keith and Quen start, but Quen tags in Kassidy, when then goes across the ring and tags in Dante.
Keith forces them back into the corner and they trade headlocks. Dante gets a leaping knee and Darius is tagged in
Keith gives each of Top Flight a big boot and this fires off the tag team siren and everyone is in the ring.
That sequence ends with Top Flight getting HIGH leaping kicks on Private Party.
Everyone is fighting on the floor as we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Keith has been the babyface in peril and when Keith is close to his corner, Quen pulls Komander off the apron.
Private Party work over Keith in their corner.
Keith drops Kassidy on the top and Keith then drops Quen. Keith tags in Darius
Darius works over Private Party on his own
As Darius is in the ropes fighting off Kassidy, Komander tags in
Komander runs wild and also works over Private Party
Komander covers Quen and Dante breaks it up
Keith hits an exploder on Kassidy to get him out of the ring and Komander gets a backslide on Quen for two
Dante tags Quen, which annoys him and he back drops Keith to the floor. Quen keeps working over Komander as Dante clotheslines him.
Dante tries a rollup on Komander, who reverses it for two.
Dante gets a leaping knee and tags in Darius
Dante gives a superkick to Keith and dives onto Private Party on the floor
Darius hits the ripcord for the pin and the win.
Winners: Top Flight
