I watched the Vice Hulk Hogan documentary you noted was airing last night and I have questions:

Hulk Hogan got Rocky 3 after he became the WWF Champion?

That was absolutely incorrect.  The doc did not do a great job of fact checking certain aspects of Hogan's life.  That one was OBVIOUS and they dropped the ball on it.    The mistakes actually undercut the overall quality of the doc quite a bit.  Hogan has claimed over the years that taking the Rocky role got him "fired" from the WWF.  He was actually working for the AWA when the film came out in 1982 and the film is what truly supercharged him as a star.

Did I really watch them say The Undertaker almost broke Hulk Hogan's neck at Survivor Series 1991?

Yes you did, and that was patently bullsh** because Hogan wrestled twice three days later in both Philadelphia and NYC against Ric Flair, on a matinee and an evening live event (the NYC one aired live on the MSG Network) and then wrestled The Undertaker in a rematch on the This Tuesday in Texas PPV.  Even in the footage the documentary showed, Hogan's head clearly never even made contact with the steel chair or the mat.  A complete failure on the doc's part.

Brutus Beefcake said that he saved Hulk Hogan from prosecution from the federal government?  One, is this true and two, why would anyone say that on record?

I have no idea what Beefcake was talking about here.  I think, and I repeat THINK he was discussing the George Zahorian case about the doctor in PA who was convicted of illegally selling steroids to wrestlers, but the statement and the editing did not make that exactly clear.  I also have zero idea why someone who want to admit that on record.

When was this Melissa Leslie/Beefcake in the business?

She married Beefcake in 2013.  That's all I know.  I don't believe she was ever a performer, but that doesn't mean she wasn't around the business.  I can't speak on the veracity of her statements.

Why did they have a random comedian on this?

That was Roy Wood Jr., who is an absolutely great comedian.  He was there because, as he said, he was a Hulk Hogan fan from the 80s until the point it came out that Hogan used the racist language that was revealed on that Bubba the Love Sponge video.  He was there to specifically talk about Hogan's use of that language and I thought he was good in the documentary.    I think he gave more insight than some who were actually in the business, to be honest.

Where was the footage of Hogan and Beefcake as the Boulder Brothers from?

Memphis Wrestling.

If these people are Hogan's friends, why would they take part in this?

It could have been money.  It could have been they thought they would do Hogan a service.  The editing is always the key in telling stories in documentaries like this, so if Kurt Angle talked for an hour about how great Hogan was and talked for two minutes about Hogan's substance abuse issues, then the editors can decide what to use and not use and you only see the two minutes.  Without seeing the raw footage, you don't know the complete context of the conversations, just what the finished product was.
