ESPN featured a story on Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Trey Smith shared a WWE Championship belt to help calm a young boy in the aftermath of the mass shooting at the team's Super Bowl celebration yesterday.

"I was thinking, what can I do to help him out?" Smith said in an interview Thursday on Good Morning America.

"I just handed him the belt: 'Hey buddy, you're the champion. No one's going to hurt you, man. We've got your back.'"

Smith said he talked about wrestling to help take the child's mind off the incident as they left the scene on a bus.

Thanks to Mike K and J A M for their help.
